After going Ultra, game is full of bugs that I cannot believe were missed by testers. Powerups are constantly disappearing, game eats inputs, graphical bugs appear frequently. This version is a downgrade, not an upgrade.

No keyboard rebinding and default controls are clutchy. It's 2019 game and you couldn't bother to add rebind option to a game? What's wrong with you, Playtonic?

The game is seriously well developed, its complexity is beyond the expectations.
Graphics and animations are splendid, audio is mediocre but it might be just me.
The only thing that annoys me is path system - it's buggy and sometimes it's hard to make a path, even though all the requirements are met. Overall I strongly recommend it if you like tycoons, especially zoo ones. The price is a bit high but the game offers a lot for said price..

Nothing has been done to the game, abandoned fully, I cannot recommend the game which is now almost for sure not going to receive proper update. It's like 4,5-5/10, so not fully not recommended but still - stay away from this if you don't want want mediocre experience with one of newest Edmund's games.

POSITIVE REVIEW AT DAY IDK, 14 OR SO
I am recommending it right now. Most of the softlocks got fixed, no audio too. It still lacks some options, achievements (these are to be added soon). The game got harder (both by everything is terrible and patches).

Overall it's a 6-7/10 game now for me, thus I am changing my recommendation, although note that it is still 6-7/10, so the note is more like "meh, play it if you really like this genre/isaac climate, otherwise don't". The gameplay feels repetetive but it's not like one can put thousands of hours into it like into isaac.


NEGATIVE REVIEW AT DAY 1:

Sadly, this game is just not finished. There are multiple of bugs and softlocks.
-There is no skip turn button.
-The game lacks proper options, no way to even set volume.
-You can easily break the game so it is a breeze.
-There is no sound at all in casino areas.
-The tutorial doesn't really explain anything.
-Achievements are not working to.
-Many spells are broken.

I feel ripped off. It is boring and unrewarding.

The game told me to like it, I do what the game says to do.

I've been attracted by high positive rating, perhaps that's why my expectations were too high. The audiovisual aspects were extraordinary, it is a true piece of art. Why the negative review then - one may ask. This is meant to be game, not gallery/animation - and the gameplay is dull, slow-paced, boring. The main thing that was annoying was a lot of invisible walls that broke the immersion. I like to look for collectibles but in Gris it was boring, unrewarding and annoying when a lot of the times I couldn't backtrack to other path. If it costed maybe half the price I'd recommend it, as for now, in my opinion, it's not worth the money.

This is the first game that deserves 100/100 score.

Easy to play, hard to master. Awesome soundtrack, awesome gameplay, awesome achievements.
Your brain will be fighting itself a lot.
