Early Access Review
This is what you make of it. I get it. There are weirdos on here. Aren't they everywhere on the internet and social media? Just block them. I'm a furry, and there are entire rooms for furries to chill and hang out. As well as LGBTQIA+ friendly rooms (as furry rooms often are, as many of us are both).

It is what you make of it. Yes, I've spent money on several custom avatars. You really don't need body tracking unless you're doing streaming (then I get it). There are avatars that are great if you upload them via Unity. The ones provided are so-so.

Look, if you're a furry, you'll have TONS of places to hang out and chill.

If you're not, you may find it weird. And yes, people can get touchy virtually lol. Again, if someone is freaking you out or invading your space, just block them.

I've found plenty of decent people on here and I've only used it for 6 hours (as of this review), and some of my friends are on here.

So my suggestions, have people you know that you chill with on here. Create your own instances and invite people. It's better with people you kinda sorta know then random strangers.

I still recommend it, but with stipulations lol.

Also as far as quality and performance issues. It works fine with me. Some people will have avatars that are "poor" or "very poor". This is the case with almost ANY uploaded avatar uploaded via Unity. I have a Protogen and Yeen (Hyena). They both are detail heavy. Sometimes a beefy graphics card can do you good here, as well as a strong internet connection. I wouldn't recommend anything less than a 3070 TI to be honest.

Tested on a Ryzen 7 7700X, with a XFX 7900 Merc310 GPU and 128GB of DDR5 RAM. The amount of ram is not relevant. I do virtualization a lot. 16GB is plenty for this.

Edit: Also one other idea. I do hang out with streamers I support too. Streamers often use VRChat as a hangout for their viewers. And it's cool to get to know people. Just act cool, be yourself, and don't be weird. LOL!

The game play is classic like Zelda I suppose, but it's not the gameplay that gets me. It's the awesome banging soundtrack in this. Absolutely one of the best in that era of gaming. 10/10 for the soundtrack alone. 8 out of 10 for the gameplay. And hey, it's free... free is free.

Edit: I finished this game in 8 hours. I was really expecting more out of it. There was the desert boss, and I didn't encounter any further bosses. It ended up being very easy at the end. And the story didn't make much sense.

I'm sorry but I'll have to drop this down to 5.5 out of 10. It's okay, but it's too short for my tastes.

Summary:

It has been a long time since I've written a review. This game has great visuals, doesn't have steep requirements, and runs quite well. I've run into a few glitches though, including getting stuck on the ice world at a chest. I opened it, found some grenades and credits and couldn't move. I'm sure issues like this will be cleared up with future updates.

Visually the game looks great, and the guns look fine too. But there is a major misbalance. With the big robot boss on the dusty planet the SMG was getting stronger hitpoints then the shotgun. The shotgun is simply underpowered. The assault rifle ended up being my favorite, and it packs a punch but tends to eat through bullets very quickly. Also there was little instruction on how to kill the big boss robot on that planet, but I'll just say look at the blue canisters. That boss almost caused me to quit in frustration. And as I said, the SMG was getting more hitpoints than the shotgun.

The gun play is a little janky, and the AI is strange. It can be too easy or a total rush attack where you can barely hold your ground. They also tend to use grenades a lot. Maybe less grenades could be used, but that's just me. Also, the platforming in space was very annoying.

One major feature update I'd recommend was saving at any point. I don't like having to redo an entire section just because I fell into space.

I'll give this game 7 out of 10. I think with further updates, I'll revisit this score, and this score is based on four hours of game play.

Wow. I see a lot of people complaining about currency, upgrades and all sorts of different things involving this game. Oh. I take it some just want to play a game that isn't truly immersive. Yeah, I have a couple of hours in this game and have played it all during early access. And I have restarted from the beginning when it was finally released.

This is one of the best space combat sims in a long time. Truly beautiful graphics, stunning gameplay and immersion. A story that keeps you gripped. This is the Red Dead Redemption 2 out in space, with great controls (if anyone is concerned about that, and I do love both games).

This is a game that forces you to improvise. And yes, you can beat enemies several skills levels above you. It just takes improvising and the right weapons. There are endless amounts of side jobs, and you can keep progressing throughout.

If you don't like an immersive game, with lovely graphics, fantastic gameplay, and difficult AI, then maybe this isn't the game for you. Or perhaps lower the skill level. I have only played this game on "VERY HARD", and that's the way it'll always be.

I just hope the developers will release more missions as time goes on. Oh, and I love the customization options for the ship.

Great job and kudos to the developer!

The one thing I do agree with some others on is there needs to be more variation as far as "unknown signal" when you're traveling at light speed.

I absolutely love this version of Tropico. I was not a fan of Tropico 5, at all because it was clunky. This game is everything it should have been. Some may say this doesn't compare to 4. Under what circumstances? Tropico 4 has far fewer options and structure than this game. Look at my profile and you'll see Tropico 4 is my top game which I have played the most in, but it doesn't come close to this new one.

This game has far more depth than Tropico 4, and is vastly more fun than Tropico 5. Boring it is not. I must say you have to enjoy these kinds of management simulation games. Tropico 6 has more going on and you need to multi-task and pay attention more. It isn't a casual game and has more complexities.

I highly recommend this game, and for the price it is great. I'll keep playing it and I am seemingly having more fun with this one than the last one.

I used to play SimTower years ago and I loved the game. It was mostly centered on the constant battle for elevator service to the various floors. This game is more centered on other services (like various office related services - I would know as I work in an office!). There are various zoning types including residential and office (in the original game). Hotels were added in the expansion DLC (which I highly recommend). I'm usually wary of DLC, but Las Vegas does add a great deal to the game and is well worth the price.

The game has nice, classic graphics and the sound is appropriate. The music could be a little better, however, that doesn't detract from the fact that the game hits the right notes in other regards.

If you loved SimTower, you'll love this game. Just a word of advice, don't expect a clone copy of SimTower. This game is quite a bit different and has other levels of immersion (such as utility services, building services and trash/recycling). Not so much emphasis is put on elevators.

I do recommend it!

Great graphics, relaxing game play, but the save games could be better spaced. I don't like having to start a section over when I exit, but I do recommend this game. It is far different than any other I have played... maybe it's a bit similar to a "Story About My Uncle", but it really did play well. It isn't a hard core action game, but it's a whole lot of fun. I recommend it for a more relaxing experience.

I'm not going to write an incredibly long review. This game is a whole lot of fun, jump scares, and the graphics are incredible throughout. It's also quite immersive. For me though since I'm kinda jumpy, I can't play this one too long. I used to play the original Doom for long periods of time, but this game is almost too realistic. Still I'd recommend it if you love action games and first person shooters. To be honest you'd probably be able to snatch a better deal than $59.99.

I must say this game is not for the faint of heart. If you're into casual adventure games and hidden object games, Doom probably wouldn't be a good fit for you.

$9.99 for this? I paid 99 cents for it and I overpaid.

This game is clunky garbage and it's so bad it's bad. This isn't one of those games that's s bad it's good. It just plain sucks. I can't recommend this even if someone paid me to play it. I'd give them their money back.

The graphics are awful. Even Doom 1 had better graphics than this. The gameplay sucks. The sounds suck. The guns suck. Oh and I feel like the character is a stone figure... he can barely move.

I've only played through half of this at 2.3 hours total and will certainly keep playing it. It seems like it is almost two or three times longer compared to the first title in the series; the Room.

The graphics are reasonably good, but the sound effects and music are top notch. Some parts of the game are a bit creepy (like with the skull). There is a nice set of puzzles to solve also. Sometimes you'll spend some time wondering what to do, however, my advice would be is to take your time through each puzzle.

I recommend it for those who love to solve puzzles.

Edit: I've now completed it. I can say the final chapter was perhaps the most interesting.
