It's a game about perfecting your route.

You enter a level. Explore the course. Learn the obstacles. Blaze a trail to the end. Next, beat all of the medal ghosts: bronze, silver, gold, ultima. Now, set yourself a goal. Top 150 on the level's leaderboard? Maybe I can swing that. Scout yourself a fast path through the level. Practice it. Modify it. Wonder if this crazy idea will work or not. Turns out that nutty idea got you into the top 100 on the leaderboard. Watch the ghosts of the best players. Wow, they did the same thing. Guess it wasn't so stupid. Or: hey, they did something completely different. I'm not sure if I can mimic them, but I can try.

The game features accessible bunny-hopping. Jump with correct timing to go faster. There's wall-running, sliding, rocketeering flight, and climbing. Use your parkour skills to navigate extreme obstacle courses.

I think it's fun. I really enjoy working on a route while listening to something in the background. The high-speed and precision you can pull off keeps me coming back. It was neat seeing levels in a new light as I got better. Regularly adding a new nuanced understanding of a mechanic to my arsenal was always an exciting realization. It's a nice way to be competitive. It's ferocious but also low-key and private.

Plays best if you enjoy improving on your previous performance. Refining your abilities. Maybe I don't recommend it if you expect to only venture through it casually. If you've never played this genre, this is a friendly way to give it try. If you like the genre, I think it's worth full price. There's plenty of levels.
