Beginning of the game was a slog, but once you get going it starts to feel dope AF. But then somewhere hours later it will feel like a slog again. If you like beautiful graphics, splinter cell stealth felt sneaking around in temples, exploring an intricately artistically designed and poetic eye candy world then this game will meet your needs. Found myself walking off paths to go explore the forests, admire towns while the golden sun casts it's rays through trees and lights that mystically and beautifully glow in the shadows.

The game isn't perfect tho... after a while quests can start to feel dull since there isn't a whole lot of variety or great story/writing to accompany them aka Witcher 3 style. The main quest which you will probably completely stick too since this is a long game is basically just the same damn thing over and over. Find a target, and assassinate them. It starts to get dull after a while. I had to take a break half-way through through the campaign and come back a couple months later to finish the other half. Regardless of the repetition, it's still fun to sneak around and clear out camps with stealth. Speaking of writing... the story is a snooze fest. Started skipping cutscenes because it's not interesting at all. There are so damn many that just drag on and on with the most dull and uninteresting characters.

The level gating is annoying as hell, the mission/objective screen is also poorly made and checking the conversation history stupidly needs to you scroll all the way down to the most recent thing said which is just poor implementation without any thought. While I have no problem with Yasuke... his character doesn't fit the game at all. He's pretty clunky and terrible for stealth. As an Assassin's Creed game... he doesn't suit it at all and feels almost like a joke side character thrown in the sake of diversity or some bs. It's baffling why he was even added. Overall... i'd only recommend this on a deep sale and/or starving for an Open World action rpg. Assassin's Creed Shadows is not perfect, also not terrible. It's just ok enough to play till you get sick of it. 7/10
