TL;DR The game´s dead to me. I´m gonna be playing Overwatch, see ya.

I installed TF2 around 2012, when the game was F2P, and I remember starting out and having a blast. I was about 13 at the time. I remember meeting some great people, having fun in the community servers, etc. I don´t know if it was because I grew up (which is something I doubt) or because I got burned out, but TF2 is now boring to play, and an unpleasing experience nonetheless.

I´m amazed to see how, as time progressed, people stopped playing as a team and concentrated on going solo to get kills, and then raging when someone doesn´t do what they want and start screaming at people, other players not doing anything for the team and wasting time, etc. What exactly happened it´s something that I can´t tell you. And honeslty, the fact that there are killstreaks just makes this worse, and causes players to, again, go specifically for kills and not work as a team, at all.

As someone that has wasted nearly 2000 hours into TF2, I can say that it was a fun ride.
TF2 getting neglected by Valve, nothing really new since MvM (which, may I remind you, came out in 2012), no new maps, and of course, weapon skins, ´cuz that´s EXACTLY what this game needed.

Competitve Mode isn´t really interesting, and it was added too late into the game´s life.
I stopped playing in mid 2013, only to come back in 2014 to see what changed, and I was dissapointed. NOTHING new, at all.

Although I do have to say how great the community is. They´re working as hard as they can to keep this game alive, and that honestly shows how much Valve just doesn´t really care.

I´m going to miss the fun times that I had with TF2, but unless Valve reacts and does something with this nearly 10 year old zombie of a game, then it can be officially declared as dead. I´ve uninstalled the game and I don´t really plan on coming back unless Valve does SOMETHING. It´s an old game, and day by day it´s starting to show it´s age.

You know a game´s dead when people play if for the cosmetics and not for the game itself.

#RIPTF2?

"As someone that has wasted nearly 2000 hours into TF2, I can say that it was a fun ride." isn't that statement a bit contradictory?

When Valve is too lazy to put in a party system so you can actually play with friends....

Overwatch is good but I prefer TF2 just because I find the support classes a lot more fun to play here than on Overwatch. Plus the Medic is sexy as F and could never abandon him... HAHAHA.

I understand how you feel though. I have played the game since August 2015 and nothing much has changed since I started playing all it is = contracts & reskins. I had people tell me how awesome Halloween and Xmas is on TF2... well both them came and past but were nothing like how I was told. I wish I played this game long before so I could understand how amazingly fun it used to be.
