Don't think I ever really had a 'moment' with this game; I mean I played it and played it for a good while but it never really clicked; i.e. got fun.
Sure the zombies were there, graphics were descent, still a descent amount of players around a year back, well designed maps - but it just didn't do it for me, and I kept playing to see if it would but it never did.

Shame.

The most dumb fun I had since forever. Genius title.

So many 'casual' games coming out now that are anything but. Mostly they're just crappy, and thus don't really fit into the category of time-wasters because they're not that fun to play. Others just take up too much time, they're not something you can quickly distract yourself with. Still others might be fun and brief, but they will get tiring quickly.

Let's face it, it's hard to develop a game that's very enjoyable in 10-15 minute chunks yet keeps you coming back for more every time.

This is just such a game.

This is a very relaxing game that you can just switch on in the background while you're going through some boring documents, etc... just switching back to the game every 10-15 minutes or so to make sure everything's going good with your sub.

This is amazing

This RTS/City-Builder/Siege warfare hybrid has plenty of its own charm and personality; the music, the storyline, the dialogue, the detailed 2D graphics, the ambient sound effects, the cries of battle, even the personality exhibited by your own virtual castle citizens.

It really does give this game that extra edge, the core gameplay itself is perfectly enjoyable of course, but this title is a good example of the paradigm that attention to detail is what can turn a solid title into an excellent one.

For those that missed out on it in the early 2000s - get it. It's a landmark title, defined a good few concepts and mechanics that were used by later RTS & City-building sim titles, and the latest HD version brings full support for modern OSs and widescreen resolutions.

It's not aged as well as some of the other classic shooters; but it's a bloody slog through and through - fans of Duke Nukem 3D need look no further.

Nice slog through dark, blood-splattered corridors and techno-horror scenery. It's no Half-Life, but it's a quality shooter nevertheless. The only thing it really suffers from I'd say - is just the lack of monsters and enemies; at most you'll get cornered by 4-5 of them at once; more often just 2-3 - nothing like what you might remember from Doom II.
Doom 3 itself suffers a bit from jump scares and enemy placement, scripted sequences being too predictable after the first 1-2 hours. But fortunately Ressurection of Evil improves on that.

A lot of people take a dim view on the BFG editon - and it is true that you can get better looking graphics with mods applied to the original Doom 3 version (none of which are compatible with the BFG version).
But let's face it - not everyone will bother with that anyway, and the BFG edition has the Lost Missions expansion pack included.
Even the No Rest for the Living Doom 2 episode included is good, played it all the way through.

It's a solid shooter, it will keep you entertained. There are better ones - but whatever, take it or leave it (take it).

The original WH40K - Dawn of War. Short & sweet. But a couple of the stand-alone's/expansions surpass it.

Yet another Space 4X that I just can't get into, no matter how much I try.

But still, there's a solid game here, and I'm sure it will be more people's cup of tea than not - so I won't hesitate recommending it.
