One of the greatest games of our time.

Giving this a tentative thumbs up. Not quite Swat 5 yet, more like Swat 3.8? The game looks great and the atmosphere is good, the sound design is amazing, etc, but those are all superficial aspects and to beat the graphics a game from 2005 is hardly an impressive feat.

In terms of gameplay, so far, it doesn't do very much better than Swat 4, with the notable exception of gunplay and some polish aspects. Glossing over obvious early access quirks like hostages only having 2 voices and the lack of gamemodes across maps, the game lacks some of the tactical depth Swat 4 did, especially Swat 4 with the Elite Force mod. For example, telling red team to clear a room on your signal and telling blue to C2 and clear makes red clear pre-emptively while blue hasn't even set up C2. There's no way to tell the team to wait for leader on breach, wait on breach, wait for leader throw, etc. The AI does seem to wait if you rush in which is at least better than Swat 4. Your team will often clear wayyyy too much of a room at once on a move and clear order. There's no way to order your team to restrain all suspects.

It is early access after all so it's still a thumbs up, especially for a game came that just came out, but the game requires quite a bit of updates before it is a truly great Swat successor.

It's a game, it's good, and if you don't like RPG's, it's still good, what the hell are you doing still reading this buy the game already

Too useless to fix their game, too greedy to give it to the community. ♥♥♥♥ valve.

This game, is either good or bad, but i don't know! first, an incredibly long download and set up time, longer than just cause 2's set up and install, and that game is huge! second, all this extra stuff like v trap and other addons, I want to play a game! and then a lengthy monetization filled external sign up process. And the game crashed 4 times on setup. I don't even know if the game is good, but if it takes this long to get the game, its probably not worth playing.
