A good review can sell a game. I mean, after I saw Mandalore's video on Brigador, I immediately bought the game on Steam. I very rarely do such things, but I don't regret my decision.

As Mandalore said, this game resembles Red Alert 2 (in terms of graphics and SFX). I always liked the missions where you must control a small number of units, and Brigador kind of reminds me of those missions.

Main pros:

- Excellent sprites. A lot of variation and details on the maps.
- Everything is destructible.
- A lot of weird mechas, antigravs, tanks, you name it. A lot of stuff to drive and to destroy.
- In campaign you can choose between various types of vehicles. This can alter your playstyle. E.g. if you pick a sturdy tank, you can just go on a destruction derby without ever holding back. And if you pick a small mech with camouflage, but very little HP and shields, you can basically play a stealth mission, trying to avoid the spotters and baiting the enemies in small quantities.
- Pretty neat soundtrack.
- Replayability. You can complete campaign missions with every type of transport + there is a freelance mode with tons of maps and customisation. It's somewhat like skirmishes in RA2.

The only "con" for me is that it takes some time to get used to the controls (there are alternative modes for them in the options menu, so be sure to check them out).

Other than that, it's a pretty solid game. Mindless fun or somewhat tactical approach - you decide. Really nice piece of nostalgia, but at the same time it doesn't feel ancient.

P.S. Played with keyboard+mouse.
