At first, I was very sceptical about the whole "co-op" idea. And with "Battle Royale" elements? What?! :)

But it actually turned out to be one of those games that you can't wait to return to after a workday. To try new classes, to roll a good run, to overpower the final boss with your friends.

It has its own measure of jank in it (parkour sometimes is really awful, plus I really don't like the queuing system for actions - I died so many times because of it haha), but it's still a good game.

I hope there will be part two with QoL features all over it. And a new land to conquer.

Thanks for making it! It was fun, even if for a while. A rare thing to occur to me these days.

Fun game.

I have some questions about matchmaking. I've started to play ranked today and some bronze "players" are more like bots that were placed in certain moments to prevent the series of winning - an understandable mechanic from GD perspective, but it feels really unfair because they usually have decks that are far superior than silver "players" that you can encounter before that; they practically melt you down in seconds. Why not just make them silver then? It would at least explain their difficulty level. I may be completely wrong, though, and it works totally differently, so it's just a guess.

Other than that - nice visuals, exciting mechanics, good gameplay loop, some well executed game design tricks and decisions. Great game.

Heh, must be a nightmare to balance the items.

P.S. I've read in a community center that the matchmaking is practically "all with everyone" so that explains what I saw in ranked. Anyways, still a good game, especially for half a price.

I hope the matchmaking will be fixed though.

Great game. Includes souls-like elements, "fashion souls", and spectacular fighting.

The only thing that I didn't like is the main story writing (the idea is interesting, but the way it's being translated to the player, well...it's not great). The dialogue writing is not the strongest part of this game too.

Props to 3C, animators team and 3d/2d artists.

Early Access Review
Cool roguelike! I initially bought it for its art style, but turned out it's a rather interesting time killer with unique game mechanics

I haven't reached the endpoint of any scenario yet, but I can still tell that it's a good time killer. If you just want to chill, build your base, loot some buildings, and shoot some bosses - it's a good choice.

Great game. I mean it!

Despite some questionable game design choices, poor optimization, and debatable storytelling (not including what is called "an emergent narrative"), this is a great action RPG.

I haven't felt that way about games for a long time now. I want to sincerely thank the developers for creating DD2.

Despite the fact that I failed the build of my char and thus the last boss became rather problematic, I would still recommend this game. Why? It's pretty chill (the world moves only when you move) and it has good pixel art. Oh, and it's an RPG in a sort of "subterranean" (no pun intended) setting, which is cool in my book.

Such a beautiful game. A heartfelt thank you to everyone at the Don't Nod team for reminding me why I love games as a medium.

Oh, how they play with color, space, and sound. A joy to play. Game mechanics is the chef's kiss too. I never thought that I would love a game centered around climbing :)

I also really enjoyed the worldbuilding. And the music is sooo good. Thank you!

Yes.

P.S. There are a couple of annoying bugs in the gameplay (although they don't break the game's progress) and the game is a bit dragged out with some game design decisions, but it's still an excellent RPG, especially if you like the WH lore. Well done, Owlcat. With each developed game the quality grows and it shows (pardon the rhyming).
