Excellent strategy game - Xcom style. Cool RPG elements.

A fun survival game with game with good base building and community management mechanics. If you like looting and scrounging for resources, you'll enjoy this game. The story of the core game leaves much to be desired but I personally enjoyed the more story driven free DLC. Some of the best moments come from random gameplay. It's really what you make of it. It's suited for both singleplayer and multiplayer and I personally enjoy playing solo. So if that's more your style, you'll be just fine.

Rome 2 often gets a bad rap, deservedly because of its rough launch. Unfairly though, there are a lot of gamers that review Rome 2 with rose tinted glasses and their glory days with Rome 1. Rome 2 is an excellent entry in the Total War library, especially for fans of the time period. After updates to optimization, great DLC campaigns, and the inclusion of a patronage system, Rome 2 is worth a look for newcomers and worth revisiting for veterans. Additionally, a lot of talented modders have had years to craft some very special works. Browse the workshop and tailor your campaigns to your liking.

A great improvement in an already great series. Open world non-linear missions allow you to takle objectives as you see fit. The new "relocate" mechanic is outstanding. How it had not been implemented in a sniper game prior is a mystery. Find a sniper nest, plan out your attack, and lay traps. Mask your shots with ambient noise or risk alerting enemies to your position. Graphics are outstanding with few glitches. Minor, but fixable, bugs exist however. Like when aiming downsight, sometimes shots mysteriously miss, or hit an invisible wall. Some stats dont count towards your totals and my end screen somtimes didnt match what had happened in the game. Only something I noticed in the solo survival mode. Multiple game modes, both solo and multiplayer exist. The "no cross" multiplayer maps force a snipe and relocate esque game type. Solo maps, although very few, are lengthy. The campagin stretches across eight missions, each mission will take approximately 1-2 hrs. depending on your play style.

Fantastic story with the addictive combat from the previous two games.
