I'm constantly getting friend requests from the phising bots of some sad loser who can't think of anything more productive to do with money than rent a bot farm with hundreds of accounts to yank arbitrarily priced TF2 items from people, in year 2023.

While the person behind those accounts seems to be physically incapable of making them any less obvious, probably 95% of the friend requests I received in the last 5 years have been these bots, practically making verifying who sends them a waste of time.

So if you plan on sending me a friend request post a comment along with it so I can immediately see you're an actual person, and if you're not from a game we played together or it's not obvious where you're coming from probably elaborate on that too.



I don't deal with it and do not care about it. If you want something I have, chances are you'll have to blatantly lowball yourself for me to consider. And if you plan on leaving a comment vaguely stating you want to trade something without any information on what it is and what I'm even supposed to get out of it, expecting me to go to you to get that knowledge, you will be ignored.
