This is a crazy good little metroidvania game - very much inspired by Metroid over Castlevania and with a ton of fun collectibles. There's a few downsides - the movement is a little twitchy and the art is fairly simple - but none of them come close to outweighing the positives, especially at this ridiculous price tag. Hidden gem, absolutely check it out.

Probably the strongest non-Fromsoft entry in the genre, along with only really Nioh in my opinion. It's a soulslike; it's a lot like Dark Souls. I assume you know what that is by now.

Clean gameplay, and some good ideas means that Lies of P is a solid play, and the good news is that the plot and writing are all pretty decent too. Not amazing, but definitely decent.

It also has it's own spins on the formula - blocking and timed blocks are more useful than dodges, especially at first, and the prosthetic arm feels like a very fun nod to Sekiro, a game that needs more nods. Difficulty is pretty fair for a soulslike - nothing incredibly crushing, but things get dicey from time to time.

I'm a little torn but this is basically a recommendation. Mahokenshi is a fun mix of HOMM style hex travel matched with a deckbuilding game, and that part is really great. The art is solid, the core setup is fantastic.

However, it feels a bit like an early access release that got launched a little too soon. There's a lot of little polish bits missing from the game - some of the cards are wildly unbalanced, the game options are lacking, and I would have expected more stuff to be added so far. That being said, it does seem like they've made some changes so far so some of this might be cleared up in the future.

One of the greatest tactical game of all time. Certainly it would have been nice to see more done on the remake like higher resolution graphics/sprites, but this is much better than playing it on any other platform.

A fun take on Into The Breach's mechanics with a fantasy flair, and pretty elegantly done!

So, fair warning, this is a qualified recommendation. I think the game is pretty fun! Clearly, it's similar to Vampire Survivors, but I think ti does some neat things with the concept.

But BOY HOWDY is this game grindy. Often times it feels like I need to do 3-4 runs to get one minor upgrade.

Edit 5/13: The above review is out of date now, and I think they've done a lot to address it. Much more recommended now!

Big fan, enjoyed it in early web-dev time and still liking it now on EA release.

The biggest and best game yet from Fromsoft. Just fantastic. A tour de force. I'm running out of good words.

This game absolutely rules. Very similar in feel to Into the Breach, but with some fun twists.
