If this doesnt bother you or you're willing to fix the issues with mods the game became a really great horde slasher since release - they finally removed rng from "crafting" allowing you to focus on gameplay

Devs, your game is bad and you should feel bad.

While the game provides a solid base, loads of loot and many ways to customize your character the combat is so dull I wasnt able to bear it for more than few minutes. Even so dull it made me write this review. Now combine this with enemy level scaling with you from what i read from other comments. No thanks.

I've seen many bad german translations but this is by far the worst. I'm fine with not having my native language supported but this is just insulting. Low effort randomized dictionary (its worse than google translate) just to have more language labels at store page.

Look, we're still early access but we're already releasing another paid dlc!

Game itself isnt bad nor good. Its somehow a strange mix with basic elements from a base bulding game and an arpg. While looking neat and really having fun at first, single player and pve multiplayer gets boring pretty fast. For pvp multiplayer it feels like an outdated game concept from 20 years ago.

The fact they now released another paid dlc and calling it content update while still being early access lead me to the decision to give a negative review because I now have to assume the base game was already finished long time ago. This is pure anti consumer. After rereading the early access info box I also consider words like scam.

Update: After reviewing my review I hope devs already had a serious talk with their marketing department. It wasnt just me who mistaken the paid cosmetic dlc's for additional content back then. They themselves were calling it content update if I recall correctly. Paid DLCs in early access always give a bad taste.

Overall this doesnt change my review and I still cannot recommend the game for what it is.

Timbertastic for an early access title. I really enjoy the water physics.

If you play on higher difficulty you may need few tries before you learn to survive early game, but then it becomes a nice relax and sit back colony sim game.
Gameplay wise there is still some stuff missing for my taste, but updates keep improving the game and adding content. On technical side the game runs very stable, can't remember a single crash or game breaking bug in over 100 hours of playtime.

Prepurchased the game at Feb 12 '22. No Denuvo was anounced there. The fact SEGA removed Denuvo from Two Point Hospital made me even consider prepurchasing this. Sad to see them being anti customer again.

Update: 16 months after release and they're still providing regular updates. Even if this game is still early access, it has already way more quality and content than lots of other games.
If you are into this genre, it's a clear buy.

When i first heard, amazon started developing games i was excited alot. May you don't know about amazons leadership principals, but two of them are "customer obsession" and "insist on the highest standards". When the company with highest budged available and focus on customer expirence goes into game development you should be allowed do expect alot. YOU SHOULD NOT.

Long story short: Launch was a mess for european players. Gameplay feels somehow unfinished and unbalanced. Client itself needs more optimazions.

Right now i can't recommend the game, may later. Game has potential. It's free to play so just try it, but for the moment lower your expectations... alot.

The game feels more like a polished proof of concept (worse than beta) than a full release. Can't recommend this game (yet).

1. No Tutorial: You are thrown into the game with zero informations. There's a hint button where you get a few informations, but mostly try 'n error.

2. Gameplay: Very limited and simple build options and research tree. Building feels very clunky. I built a factory, and hat to rebuild several times to get rails from outside to the right position inside and have everything connected in the right way.

3. Translation: Worse than google translation. If the game offers my native language (german) i should not have to switch to english to understand even the basic meanings of the texts. Better to not offer translations at all so people know what they'll get.
