The game for the most part consists of FFA and Clan Arena (round based mode, similar to counter strike) modes. FFA is a chaotic mess, where half of gameplay is dying after spawn before you had a chance to pick up weapons. CA is fun gamemode, but brimful of toxic veterans who had been playing game for years and will flame anyone who don't conform to their sweaty expectations.

While mechanics wise I prefer QL, I'd recommend playing Quake Champions instead, culturaly it's much better and not to mention free
