Lots of promise, lots of potential. From a fan of Kenshi and survival games, the premise and promise is here. But the game simply DOESN'T work as advertised. From desync problems, to absolute jank issues where inventories glitch out and you can't access stashes, NPC's getting stuck in questlines, not being able to create multiple characters without resetting progress, there's a just a looooot of work to be done here. For the price asked for it now + it's numerous issues, I simply can't recommend it. Refund, and will check again later when the issues have been addressed.

It's the best EDF game I've ever played having played all of them prior to it since the PS2 era. It's EDF with all it's good things and bad things, it adds neat gameplay QOL improvements and is more of what you're used to if you have played these series for this long, including the hilarious voice acting and ridiculous setting, which for me is always a plus and something I seek in these games.

Though I agree it should've been advertised that the game uses the EPIC online services and that this move is kinda lame on their part, setting up requires like 10 seconds if you already have an account (which most gamers I suppose will have, given that many people just grab it for the free games). The ammount of bs and lies added by people in the reviews about technical issues on top of the copium to justify riding the review bombing is just abhorrent, game runs just fine for me, setup camera type to 1 and you're good to go.

Game is locked to 60 FPS because of likely technical reasons and animations, but who the ♥♥♥♥ cares when it's the smoothest bug killing these series ever had. It was never a perfect game, it always had issues that every fan is aware of, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is it as fun as ever. Just grab it and join EDF now, Earth needs you, or don't, and become alien food.

This game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome. It takes me back to my childhood, where you'd browse the "lesser sold/unknown" games on the bargain bin, but you still took the risk in bringing some of them home cause the cover looked awesome and ended up finding real gems. This is one of those gems.

It's mindblowing to me how something so basic, so devoid of pretentious fundamentals and media, comes together in such an incredibly polished and FUN experience. It's even more mindblowing when you realize it's 1 developer, constantly releasing updates and listening to the players. Sure it has moments of game jank, sure you've seen the rogue lite concept a thousand times before, but this beauty manages to slap the formula with such a unique vibe to it that it's a serious contender for one of the most fun co-op experiences I've played lately.

Massive respect to the developer. Hoping to see this game flourish and get the playerbase it deserves.

I really wanted to enjoy this game, been hyped to play it since it was announced as a fan of the first entry.
It's when you play an open world that is so devoid of life and adventure, that you realize just how good and how high the bar has come so far in terms of what a good open world action/adventure game should be, and I'm sorry but this game is mediocre across everything it sets out to do.

Fetch quests here, fetch quests there, kill X and talk to Y, boring fights, boring exploration, the pawn system is kinda cool but it trivializes the difficulty of this game to a point where playing it feels more like a time-killer than a time-enjoyer.

NPC's lack depth, lack interest, say the same things over and over and over and over and over again to a point of exhaustion. The story introduction feels awkward as ♥♥♥♥, giving you no sense of mystery, interest and direction. Fights with larger enemies are the EASIEST fights to a point where 2 minotaurs would be fearsome in any game but in this game you climb a rock and shoot your bow 200 times and win without getting hit once or even getting in danger...

Sure yeah, it looks pretty, but the optimization is absolutely terrible, and I'm usually not a person to complain about this sort of stuff having been used to playing 30 FPS games and even lower on older consoles and games, BUT, this is not an older game and so it's inexcusable that you have 100 FPS in one sequence and drop right to 20 in another, (Mind you I'm not using a NASA machine, but a RTX 4070 and a Ryzen 7 7800X3D is still way above recommended specs) and so this grating dropping that constantly dwindles every 10 minutes completely breaks the immersion in this sort of game...
And so this becomes a nuissance where you're already killing your time and trying to enjoy the good aspects of this game, only to get reminded of how broken it is time and time again.

Elden Ring doesn't look inferior to this game and runs tenfold better and I could name another hundred examples of the same caveat.

A shame, I think Dragon's Dogma deserved better after it's previous entry, where it understood it's strengths and place in this kind of game universe, but I can't help but feel this game was just rushed and that the developers didn't really keep up with time and understanding of what made the first game enjoyable and special. And fix those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ performance problems... Pains me to have to give this a thumbs down where I wish I could give it a neutral, because it's not that bad that it deserves the bashing it has been getting, but it's not a great game at all as it's good points don't outweigh the bad, specially in it's current state.

Tekken 8 is a real treat for any fan of the franchise, with little nods and homages to it's previous instalations and a true celebration of how good can fighting games still be. Not only it respects it's audience, It's also an improvement over it's predecessor in every single way and stands alongside 3 as the best game in the series.

Not enough people praising how a game that looks this good is running this well as well. I don't think I've seen many games look as stylish and as beautiful as this game does. The movements and combos are meaty, the sounds are punchy and give feedback, a real technical marvel.

I only wished there were more unlockables like the old school entries, it would feel much better unlocking the characters as you finish stuff as it also would give you an incentive to play more on the down times and to give more meaning to complete other modes. The online functionality is working perfectly, had absolutely no problems playing against strangers and friends alike, except for getting my butt kicked, but that's a granted.

If you're still not convinced, remember it still has Kuma in it, and if that doesn't convince you, I don't know what will.

Chivalry 2 is probably one of the coolest melee combat games I've ever played, but at the same time it's also one of the most frustrating ones, and generally not for the best reasons. If you have over 80 ping on servers it's already unplayable, most of your drags and counters WILL be handicapped and the hitreg will suffer tremendously with it, provoking funny moments where your weapons clearly go through your enemies and somehow you get killed while they swing an axe almost 3 meters away from you. The community seems to have been infected by Mordhau meme players and so thanks to that, some people will have a blast ruining the game for others rather than actually playing it, which is kinda funny for 5 minutes and then it just becomes sad, and when called out, most of these players will either TK or overall just do absolutely nothing positive for the team. This could be fixed if the votekicking actually worked, but most players don't even see the kick prompt or decide to ignore it all together.

Seems like most over leveled skilled players are afraid of playing against each other and so they will literally stack on teams with other players of the same kind and play with a score mindset where they just go around backstabbing the other team and running away as soon as they smell death coming, making what is supposed to be a medieval war game into a hide n' seek to see who can perform this tactic better.

Duel servers are awesome, and you can find some really nice people to teach you/spar with but it also happens that if you start killing a lot of these "good players", you start getting trash talked almost immediately for no reason other than you are ruining their flow and their ability to showoff to newbies. This has happened waaaaaaaaay too many times to me, and in some cases, it literally happened after I got like 2-3 kills on a level 1000 player.

Balancing in the weapons is just god awful, making most of the weapons useless except for the meta ones like the Greatsword, the Longsword and the Dane Axe because they seem to have a higher speed drag/accel as well as a larger hitbox. Some of the mechanics are not polished enough to actually make a difference like for example the kick, which only works if the other player blocks or also kicks, limiting severely your options in combat to either feinting or dragging, and your occasional punch that 90% of the times will be ignored anyway as most players will overspam the stun with the left click.

All in all, I can't really argue that this game can be extremely fun and liberating, so if you are ready to ignore most of it's problems and just go for a few matches for the fun factor, it's still a really awesome game that I recommend specially if you have a few friends to play with, but by no means it's an evolution of the genre specially when the community downgraded so much in comparison to the 1st game.

Incredible level design that never fails to impress me, it's grabbing one of my favorite childhood engines and just completely going crazy with it. It's more Ion Fury, packed with an amazing acid/dnb soundtrack and some of the coolest FPS shootouts I've ever experienced. It almost make me feel bad in calling this a boomer shooter, given that there's more "modern" looking games in the same genre that are put to shame with this.

I can't see straight, and thanks to this gem now I definitely go for the balls and bottom shots much more than headshots, so overall it's good, my aim is true.

Ravenswatch is an insanely good game with one of the coolest combat systems in any rogue like that I ever played. I'm happy that it finally reached it's 1.0 release and that the developers have been pouring love, care and attention to their fanbase while in it's development. Saw it crawl from the first days out in EA up to where this baby is now, and even though I don't agree with all the changes (game is easier nowadays than it used to be, some things were simplified), those same changes should help more people get into it, and I can understand them from a commercial standpoint.

The artwork, characters, soundtrack are phenomenal and fit just so damn well on this kind of game genre, really one of the highest points of this game for me is the attention to details in constructing a "fairy tale and book" feel that this game thrives on.

The gameplay is smooth, the game runs great and despite a few glitches here and there, the overall experience is solid. Imagine a kind of Diablo-like game with hack n' slash and roguelike elements. There's an element of timing from map to map which builds up tension in farming for the best routing and powerups available, and the "randomly generated" runs make each run feel fresh and give you opportunities to try out with different stuff.

I also absolutely love that most of the stuff I had requested for or appealed for on the discord channel and on my previous review here on Steam was already added to the game. The costumes, the little lore conversations between characters... This is how you develop a game with a community! Other developers should take notes...

My only real issue with this game is that, as a lot of other people already mentioned, having almost 200 hours on this game has pratically made me see everything and do much of everything that there is, as the content in this game is quite lacking unless you like repetition and trying out different builds. No complain tho, for the price it has I already had way more return and playtime from it than I had expected.

What is an already great game has the foundation to become even greater if Nacon/Passtech continues to update it, add more content... Or plan a sequel.
My newest suggestion would be to add a newer game mode, like a survival arena, that would allow even more costume unlocks. Oh and about those, even though it's great that some have already been added, I feel like you could do even better by giving them other appearences rather than just recolourings. I'd also love some kind of Hub area that you could just improve by doing certain challenges, similar to what Hades has. I feel like that if the community had more time to interact with the characters and if the lore is more developed, there's even higher chances for people to become invested in it's world.

In any case, great and fun game!

The worst thing about this game is that I only paid 6€ for it.
The developer clearly had a lot of passion in doing this and it shows.
One of the smoothest and coolest games in this genre. A proof that you can do something so grand with so little.
Congratulations to the team. And to the Bakery as well for that cake.
