it is said the pain of childbirth comes close to a fraction of the pain experienced when your first ever vehicle gets destroyed by a random meteor storm minutes after loading it with mods and all your equipment.

How low is the bar if this has "Very Positive" reviews???

I couldn't stomach more than 10min - a non-existent character creator (there's a selection of predefined characters to choose from, I didn't realise I was playing DOTA or Overwatch?!).

If you're gonna sell me a 3rd person game, I expect to be able to create MY character to look at, not some Balenciaga-clad "raiders" that have predefined appearances.

This should be disclosed in the game description on the page - it keeps saying "your" - "walk your own path", "Build your home, your base", "Customize your survivor" - well the survivor ain't MY survivor, are they? They're YOUR survivors, aren't they?

Game also has the worst, jankiest movement I've seen in a while.

I half expected my character to just T-pose and glide, it's so bad. All the actions seem to be exclusively animated from the waist-up, your legs and butt are made of concrete.

Tried to knife some dude who came at me, no lock-on to speak of, we just slid around each-other like it was poorly animated ballet until he punched me 3 times and I just fell over; 5 sec later I just magically re-spawned like nothing happened.

Not gonna dock points on graphics - those can be improved.
Not gonna comment on any gameplay or story - couldn't get to it honestly. Wish the cover was better, could've judged the book without buying it first.

I wish the devs the best, but this is a hard pass right now.
