Labyronia is a world full of labyrinths. In those labyrinths secret treasures and numerous monsters await.

This is the fourth game in the Labyronia series, and it's a sequel to the first two. It's also a much more solid game with many more characters, backstory and a lot more locations. Between the second game and Labyronia Elements the world was split into five and you get to explore all five worlds and reunite them.

Each world has its own lore and mechanics and very few enemies are shared between them so it kinds of feel like playing five different games. For example, the Wind world consists of floating island and you start as a thief who has to do good deeds in the city in order to earn reputation which in turn lets you wander around at night to steal valuable items from the same people you helped! The Earth world is a jungle full of mushrooms you have to pick up in order to heal yourself, and different axes that let you clear different paths in the jungle. It's not all fun and games though, tragedy awaits outside the jungle.

The common mechanic between each worlds, besides the usual RPG elements is that nearly all enemies have an "Element", a magic you can learn from them by using a special skill on them as they die. It's similar to blue magic or enemy skills except in how you learn them. Some elements are unique to bosses, others can be learnt by all the party members.

Elements open up new strategies you can use against the enemies you encounter, some of which can be difficult without the right set of elements. For example, the Verdure Fish in the water world is weak against Ice and will spawn sidekicks twice during the fight. Having both single target and multiple targets ice magic is therefore very helpful. Without this the party could easily be decimated if unlucky.

In addition to this you can learn perks from weapons and armors, kind of like in Final Fantasy IX. The perks can be new skills or improve your stats and resistances or add effects to your normal attacks. Trying to find all secret equipment therefore benefits your party, even if you don't end up using that equipment once you learn the perk.

I've ran into a few bugs but they're all quickly fixed as the developer responds very quickly. The grammar of the dialogues could surely be improved here and there but maybe a native speaker can help with that, I'm sure the developer would appreciate input.

I would recommend playing the other Labyronia games before this one, they're short. The third game is not an RPG but more like a mystery/detective game so I suppose a walkthrough might help if you're not into it. But you can also start with this game, it's the more solid in the series and there's very little you won't understand as most of the characters are new and the references to the older games are very few.

So, there you go! Enjoy!

Yeah especially since I'm only aware of two of these in the game total.

Darn it, now I'm jealous i didn't just steal the bracelet and flee...

Ice X works against it and then Super Drain makes getting the element easy. It has Poppy which is a Plant + Sleep attack, and you can steal SP Bracelet from him which is a pretty good bracelet (+50% SP generation). I'll add all this to the guide, thanks for the tip!

I really should have done this, but there's too many ending fakeouts in each world lol

Damn I need to test this, thanks. I'll try it tomorrow. Good thing I kept a save before the end of each world!

It's on a TINY af island in the night sector, once you land there you need to go on the little mountain there and the encounter should start.

I don't think so, where is it?

Speaking of the right elements for encounters, did you ever encounter a montser named "bzzzzt" in the Air world? How do you even kill this?

Yeah definitely. But at the same time some encounters, like Nerubis, are *trivial* with the right elements. No spoilers though, figure it out. :P
