I strongly recommend against purchasing this game or supporting Capcom as a company. Capcom added a malicious DRM called Enigma Protector, which is very shady and obfuscates where the company is from, to several of their older titles, years after their initial release. This unexpected update has impacted the performance of these games, causing severe frame rate drops and making them unplayable for many. But even more concerning for me, this seems to be an attempt to prevent mods and custom content, which have been a vital part of enhancing the gaming experience for many players from custom content to actual fixes.

This decision not only shows a blatant disregard for the community but also reveals Capcom's anti-consumer practices. It’s evident that this was a deliberate attempt to control how players interact with their games. This is further confirmed by the fact that many players, including myself, have experienced issues like wiped saves, lost achievements, and UI errors on Steam pages.

By introducing this intrusive DRM, Capcom has clearly shown that they prioritize their crusade against modding over the satisfaction of their paying customers. This is unacceptable, and I urge potential players to reconsider supporting a company that treats its customers this way. Until this DRM is removed and Capcom makes amends for this anti-consumer behavior, I cannot recommend this game or any other Capcom titles that use this DRM.

The best game in the series and, before the success of Baldur's Gate 3, considered the legitimate spiritual successor of Baldur's Gate 2. Dragon Age: Origins was developed by many members of the Baldur's Gate 2 team, including key figures like David Gaider, one of the senior writers for DA:O, and Dean Andersen, who served as Art Director for both DA:O and the Baldur’s Gate series.

From the moment you step into the world of Thedas, you're not just playing a game; you're living a legend. To me, Dragon Age: Origins stands as the pinnacle of the franchise.

DA:O not only captures the spirit of Baldur's Gate 2 but also serves as a refined successor to the original Neverwinter Nights. BioWare took the lessons learned from these earlier titles and improved upon them, delivering a game that combines the narrative depth of Baldur's Gate 2 with the more modern mechanics introduced in Neverwinter Nights. The result is a game that honors its predecessors while setting new standards.

As a fan who has seen the series evolve, I hold DA:O in the highest regard, especially for preserving the essence of dice-based RPG mechanics. The combat system is a refined evolution of the classic Baldur's Gate 2 and Neverwinter Nights with a battle system that's both familiar and innovative. The ability to pause, strategize, queue orders and then witness the beautifully orchestrated carnage is nothing short of exhilarating. It's proof of the BioWare's genius(Of the time) that, even after all these years and compared to future Dragon Age titles, this system remains unmatched in delivering an immersive, cinematic, and addicting experience.

The violence in DA:O is a raw, unfiltered portrayal of a world in turmoil. The blood effects and blood stains are particularly noteworthy—they add a level of intensity and realism that enhances the game's gritty atmosphere. Battles are brutal and bloody, reflecting the high stakes of the Grey Warden's quest, and it enhances the immersion and gravity of the combat. It's a game that doesn't shy away from the darker aspects of its narrative either, allowing players to fully immerse themselves in the struggle against the Blight and I appreciate the game's unapologetic embrace of its mature themes.

While I've enjoyed the sequels, even modded them for my tastes, they diverge from the core elements that made DA:O great. The shift towards action-centric mechanics in later titles doesn't hold a candle to the strategic depth and satisfying quasi-turned based combat that DA:O offers. The quality of the narrative, with greatly distinct origin stories, threads of consequence and choice, is unmatched in its complexity and impact.

Dragon Age: Origins is imo the best of the franchise, a game that stands the test of time. For those who yearn for a true CRPG experience, where battles are won by wit and will, and where stories branch and have consequences, DA:O is your game, a beacon of light for the genre that continues to shine brightly as proved by the recent unparalleled success of Baldur's Gate 3.

Play it, live it. If you enjoyed BG3 chances are you won't regret it.

The game has been changed almost 10 years after I bought it, so I have to change my review as it no longer reflects my thoughts back then.

The practice of changing a digital product is anti-consumer and it shouldn't happen in a digital future.
Give us teh hability to choose between versions and this owuldn't be an issue.

The game is not the same as when I purchased it and I don't want the changes, it negatively affects the overall enjoyment of the game, thus this thumbs down.

Worst of all they even removed concept art that was included in the past.

External Patch Requirement:
🔲 Yes.
✅ No.

+18 DLC directly through steam.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2260810/Available_in_English_Adventurer_Liz_and_the_Erotic_Dungeon__Additional_adult_story__Graphics_DLC/

Good:
  • Story and Humor: The story is light-hearted and funny, with enjoyable pacing and comedic elements.
  • Unique Art: All enemies are hand-drawn by FUJIFUDA, adding a personal touch to the visuals.
  • Crafting: The equipment crafting provides goals beyond simple dungeon completion.

Bad:
  • Bad Translation: The translation, while not awful and incomprehensible, is bad, detracting from the overall experience.
  • Repetitive Gameplay: The game becomes grindy with high difficulty spikes and limited enemy variety.
  • Shallow Mechanics: Forced builds and lack of strategic depth make the game feel monotonous.
  • Unimpressive H-Content: The H-scenes are underwhelming and feel inconsequential.

Conclusion:
Adventurer Liz and the Erotic Dungeon offers some charm and humor but ultimately falls short due to poor translation, repetitive gameplay, and shallow mechanics. The unique art and crafting system are positives, but they are not enough to overcome the game's shortcomings.

P.S.: Follow FUJIFUDA on Twitter @fujikieru. His games are made with heart, even if they are grindy.

Game is barebones arena fighter with very simple controls and a Black Clover skin, the gameplay difference between characters is not that impactful either which is disappointing.

The game obvious focus is on MP but gameplay is so bland that I don't see the appeal.

Overall, the game looks ok, not great but not bad either.
The single player story is an original story, it's supposed to be a filler like arc but it's so short that it could be covered in 3-4 episodes.

You'll be able to clear the single player content in less than 4 hours, you can then repeat the missions with other characters and you can alternatively play the story from the point of view of another character but it's just an excuse to push you to play the story all over again.

Overall I don't recommend this even for Black Clovers fans, the new story arc is a nice addition but that's the only positive this game has.

In my opinion this isn't even worth on sale, but if you think that you're that much of a fan of Black Clover that you can see past the low-grade quality of this title, don't spend more than 6€ on this.

Succubi's Trap Dungeon of Seduction is expensive, short, linear and not good, the bare minimum was done here.

Good
  • Translation is good.
  • The themes/h-tags are not common and one might overlook some of the bad because it.

Bad
  • Dialogue has no header/prefix to indicate who his talking, making reading conversations confusing.
  • Game is short and linear.
  • Bland RPG maker mechanics that have no items or strategy, it just adds unnecessary RNG to the already unnecessary combat, randomly making it feel either too easy or unfair.
  • Maps are poorly designed, they are large, empty and unappealing.

Conclusion
Succubi's Trap Dungeon of Seduction should have been a simple visual novel, that way they could tell the short story and be done with it.
I can't stress enough how the game is also excessively overpriced, this is not worth 12,49€, it would be 1,99€ at best, in the case that you're really into the themes/tags of this h-game, don't spend more than that.

DEMON'S SWORD SNAKES is the first game from the developer Circle E.B., with that said the game had potential but falls short in it's execution and the publisher messed up the release as well, delivering a mediocre final product with potential, that feels way worse than it should be.

Good
Very interesting RPG Mechanics that are different from your commonly used RPG maker/Wolf RPG battle system.
  • Turn-based combat, with a QTE mechanic for counter attacks.
  • Well developed Crafting system for items that is one of the main focus of the whole RPG.
  • Combat isn't required for level up, crafting gives EXP.
  • Skills are acquired by mastering weapons.
  • Story might not be outstanding but it does keep you interested in the main characters and the world building.
Bad
Pretty much everything else.
  • Game Resolution is only 320x240 that looks bad even on small screens like the Steam Deck, don't be fooled by the store page screenshots.
  • H-mechanics had potential but were not properly developed.
  • Lust system is interesting but badly implemented with high thresholds of lust to achieve and too little chances to increase it, it can be done with a boring and unrewarding grind.
  • H-grid/menu where you choose to spend your lust is confusing, unappealing and a shore to use.
  • H-scenes themselves have horrible presentation, with weird image formatting, positioning and too much flashing/blinking with even sprites flickering often.
  • Game has only one ending and feels like it didn't really end, getting you hooked on it's initial premise without delivering.
  • The worst offender, the translation quality is atrocious.

Conclusion
For a game that hooks you on it's mechanics and introductory story, the translation is so bad that it tears it all down, turning an interesting but slightly above average game into a bad experience. Wasabi is at fault for releasing and leaving the game in such a bad state.

With all its issues, this game doesn't deserve the price tag, even if it had a good translation with properly formatted menus that elevated its presentation and enjoyment this would be a 8€ game at best, but in it's current state I wouldn't buy it for more than 3€.

It's important to mention that the on top of the bad translation, the game does not have Steam cloud, Steam achievements or Steam trading cards, so even at 80% discount, it's hard to justify getting this.

P.S.: Circle E.B.'s first attempt shows a huge potential, so I very much recommend you try their second game Pronant Symphony which improved on most of the concerns I had for Demon's Sword Snakes and has been translated by DLsite who did a much better job at translating the game, unfortunately it hasn't been released on Steam and it's currently exclusive to DLsite.
I encourage you to follow the creator's ci-en for more updates or his twitter @Nakiji_eb.
