The highest recommendation.
This is such a well done game and a love letter to the fans who watched the OG tv show in the late 80s/early 90s, as well as those of us who enjoyed the 1989 arcade game and Turtles in Time. It's the little details, the callbacks, the music, the original voice actors making a return (!!!), the sprites (they actually managed to make BAXTER STOCKMAN look... ugly cute?). Online works surprisingly well through Steam with 4 other players, just like you're all sitting in the same room.

This game should be the new gold standard for licensed beat em ups. Go buy it and if you can, get your friends in on this too. It's nearly flawless.

Fate/Extella Link picks up where Extella left off - a new threat is upon SE.RA.PH and it's up to you and your army of servants to beat back some bad digital programs. If you're a fan of Fate and love the Musou style of game, this one's for you. Text has been significantly toned down from the previous game which makes the pacing between the action stages much, much better. This may disappoint the fans who enjoyed reading the visual novel portions, but I think it is a welcome change. Some new favorites are in here as well, including our best boy Astolfo of Fate/Apocrypha fame, and the beautiful Scathach who many FGO players spent untold amounts of money to obtain - but I'm getting a bit off track.

Currently there is an issue with performance on high refresh monitors, but this only occurs during heavy particle effects (such as using your Noble Phantasm) and can be remedied by capping the game's frame rate at 60FPS using NVIDIA inspector. Other than that it performs well, and the action is more intense and speedy than it's ever been.

You're offered many customization options to build your character, install skills make a return but you are also able to customize special attacks for each servant to suit your playstyle as well. More options will open up to you the higher you get your bonds and servant levels. This is easier to do than ever, thanks to the ability to spend currency to instantly level a servant to your current highest servant level. Building bonds goes faster too, and on occasion one of your servants will ask you to take on an extra task in your home base which allows you to grow their bond two levels, rather than just one. The quality of life improvements really makes this a big step up from the first game.

Now that Patch 1.03 is out, this game has my vote of confidence for a buy. Major issues with frame rate and auto VN text scrolling are gone. If you are looking to get into the Senran Kagura series, this is the one that started it all - Burst Re:Newal is a reboot of the original 3DS game that plays more in line with the more recent Shinovi/Estival Versus titles. Unique to this entry is the "Burst" mechanic which gives you a temporary attack boost for a limited time and devastates groups of enemies when it finishes. Frantic mode is now chosen at the start of each mission, and is a high risk/reward style for the fearless true shinobi who don't fear getting struck down. Keep in mind that Burst Re:Newal does not have multiplayer or Girls' Heart Missions like the other two aforementioned games, but it does have the Intimacy mode that the PS4 version is lacking. Be sure to grab the DLC characters while they're free - that won't last long.

Marvelous USA gives us another fantastic helping of 30-second long JRPG action, with some very nice new features like map creation and parties, an actual overworld map and tons of silliness along the way. This is a wild speedrunning ride that only gets more frantic as you progress through the game's main story. This is an improvement over the original in pretty much every way, although that game is worth checking out as well. You say you don't have the time for a Japanese RPG? I think you can and should spare a lot more than 30 seconds for this game. Highly recommended.

A very solid 3rd person shooter action game with a few clever puzzle elements, this reboot of Tomb Raider is a fun and cinematic experience that really draws you in thanks to its minimalistic UI, giving it the look and feel of a blockbuster action movie. Eat your heart out, David Cage.

Ys I+II has been remade so many times over so many systems, and with good reason. It's a classic action RPG game similar to Legend of Zelda with a very basic battle system, a good story, and some of the best music you'll ever hear from a game. With this package you get two games for the price of one, and the choice of 3 different soundtracks to listen to (Chronicles, Complete and the original PC-88 versions). The Chronicles artwork is beautiful and really brings the world of Ys to life. This is worth your time.
