Jesus Christ. What is there to say about this game that hasn't been said by a million different people already.

I played this game 3 times. Twice with my mom, and once with my best friend. The scenes that blew my mind in the first play-through continued to mesmerize me in repeat play-throughs. The story, while a bit tacky, has these rich emotional themes that I can't help but get a little, well, emotional over. The segment with the flying whale in the tree is in my top 10 moments in all of visual media, and the glow-stick party in the attic is in my top 5 in all of gaming.

The movement in this game is incredibly satisfying, if a bit simple. This is to make the focus on teamwork and puzzle solving stronger, which it performs admirably. The unique gimmicks throughout the 7 chapters consistently switches up game-play design, with each of these different ideas feeling satisfying enough to be their own individual games. Take for example, the hammer and the nails in the Shed. The satisfying BAM! of the hammer and the whistling THWIP of the nails are one thing, but this gimmick sets the tone for this game perfectly by taking a simple concept and making it so that the two players must be in harmony if they want to get anything done.

9.5/10, psychonauts shouldve won goty though
