Hey hey people

Campaign
---------------
The gameplay somewhat reminds me of Silent Hunter. You have some room for roaming but the game pushes you north, so you need to find the right balance between speed and caution. Progressing along this path is somewhat reminiscent of choosing nodes in FTL or Slay the Spire.

Battle
---------------
The game does an excellent job of making the ships feel like there's weight to them. Maneuvering is mostly very deliberate. I'm bad at twitch controls but got pretty good at the battles once I got the hang of it.

Presentation
---------------
Love the visuals, both in battles and on the campaign. The dashboard may seem intimidating at first but the game does a good job of explaining each system the first time it's used. Sound design and music are fantastic and very atmospheric.

Difficulty
---------------
The campaign is designed to be difficult. The fact that your high score also functions as your next run's starting funds clearly signals that this is a game that will take multiple runs to master. This loop sucked me in, and finally conquering the campaign felt like an achievement

Summary
---------------
Overall I enjoyed it a lot. Good game, worth the asking price

A must-play for fans of the genre, incredible world and audio design.
The upgraded prawn is incredible, can survive pretty much anything but jumping off of the wrong cliff.
They should have brought out the cuddlefish earlier in the game.

Manages impressive complexity in a relatively polished and approachable way. The game is gorgeous and features the highlights of the era. I personally like the direction they took with the war system, but at this time there's still a lot to fix and flesh out in that aspect of the game.

Remember the stories you made up for your X-COM soldiers and the relationships between them?
This game puts that at its center. Pre-written adventures mix with emergent narrative to form epic myths about your heroes and the relationships between them. They form rivalries, fall in love, haves kids, and (of course) die.

All of this is backed up by top notch writing, art and gameplay. Enemies are interesting, both in their thematic creative direction and mechanics. As your heroes evolve so does the opposition, gradually drawing cards from a deck that adds new enemy types or buffs existing ones.

If all of that sounds interesting, go get it!
