Ok I got this game for the obvious reason that Death's Gambit was being labled as a "Dark Souls-Like" Game before it was even released. I was super excited to hear about it and even more excited to watch commercials about it on Adult Swim. When myself and my husband saw these commercials I told him that we had to get it when it came out. He agreed, and I just recently got the game when it went on sale.

And I must say that I don't regret it. It's challenging, beautiful and it even provides all of the controller breaking rage that the Soulsborne series gave me beforehand.
Isn't that G R E A T ?

The OSTs are beautifully put together, a majority of NPCs are Voiced, and the gameplay is usually smooth and easy to understand. If you've played Dark Souls then you'll already be ready to roll and pull up your shield when need be(and apparently you can even parry). But while it reminds me of Dark Souls so much it also reminds me of the side scrolling "Salt and Sanctuary", which is another Souls-Like game on steam.

The only difference I see is that you actually don't lose your souls when you die, you only lose one of your healing items, until you recover it. I haven't quite beat the game yet but I can say honestly that I am in love with Death's Gambit, and am looking forward to future updates or additions.

And while this is a good game that I absolutely recommend that doesn't mean that it's perfect. While playing I have come into several glitches and bugs that can be tedious- if they happened too often(and luckily that didn't happen to me).
I've clipped through walls where I was stuck until I used a Crow's Plume to return to the last used idol, Sorun(the main playable character) has glitched out when falling and sometimes whisps do a weird glitch on horseback when you don't give them time to catch up. I've come into a couple more, but they truly aren't worth mentioning as I'm sure they will be fixed within the next few updates.

Keep up the good work AS, I'm looking forward to it.

Alright. 175 hours in so it's about time for a well-deserved review.

In MY opinion I think Remastered was totally worth it. Me and my husband have played every Dark Souls game available on Steam together for our first Playthrough, it was kinda just a tradition of ours.
All, except for Prepare to Die Edition. Even with DSFix we could rarely ever connect to play together, and it was just a pain to play.
Now, with the fixed servers and Passwords I can play with him without any hassle, and now I can even help out other people with an "Helpful Solaire" file!

But, that's the only reason why I wanted to get the upgrade. I don't care about the graphics(Which for some reason many crazy people expected DS3 graphics.. Like, really dudes?), and I care not for the same bugs and glitches what were in PTDE. Granted, FromSoftware could've totally done better and fixed such things like laggy backstabs and OP weapons/spells, but by looking at the previous patch notes for Remastered I have a feeling that FS is slowly making their way up there.

All and all, this may not be worth it for some, because it is obviously a cash grab; but I just loved how I could play it with my husband again; and I have been heavily suggesting Remastered to my friends when they ask about it.

Ok, I've played a lot of point and click games; and I've played a lot of games with amazing soundtracks-
But this game by far takes the cake in both of these catagories.

I love games that I can just sit back with and enjoy slowly while taking the world in. And no, it doesn't look like much but don't let that deter you. While it is very goofy in many ways it holds several different lessons and perhaps even life lessons that may or may not effect you, my favorite being, "When people love eachother and have much in common why should the hateful opinions of others and stop them? All that matters is that they love eachother."

And while the story and characters were all amazing what I really loved was the soundtracks. It's music that just calms you and lets you relax. It's honestly just so perfect, and while I've played many games I haven't come close to finding soundtracks that calm me down this much. I got this game on sale but I wish that I had the money to pay full price for it for the wonderful soundtracks because I've looked around for anywhere to buy these songs and came up short. Ugh. They are just so amazing.

Get this game, you won't regret it.

Updated Review:
Ok so hey- I first bought this game to help support Hussie, but I kept buying the DLC because I became addicted with making fRIENDS.
After several long journies my ribs finally feel bettern and I can finally move my arm again; plus I've made a lot of friends that can manage to look past me not having Horns and just looking like a freak.

In all seriousness tho this is amazing. I was once into Homestuck but I never really got into it because the beginning was so slow, so all the information I knew was what I learned from my friends and the Fandom. This gives a whole new insite and understanding on the Troll's homeworld and how ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it is. It may be a little short here and there, especially if you don't buy the DLC, but overall I am very happy with the development of the game; and I am totally looking forward to more upcoming DLC.

Old Review:
Oh hey this game is pretty short but still very enjoyable.
I bought it to specifically support Hussie but ended up enjoying it for the friends I made.
I'm pretty sure my arm and ribs are still broken but the warm feeling of having made a friend is strong enough for me to ignore this completely.

Bought it on sale, despite the bad reviews. I was actually looking forward to playing it too but all it did was freeze my computer so bad I had to restart it. This happened three times without even being able to begin the game; I am currently awaiting my refund. :/

Looking for more Dark Souls? For more of the anger and Anxiety that is usually gifted to you with the Souls series? Well this game isn't that one but you still came to the right place!

This game feels as if it were heavily inspired by the Souls series, but is a 2d rendition of it; with Salt(Souls), Sanctuaries, dark characters, and awful enemies that will kick your ars3 no matter what level you are. If you're familiar with the common dodge and roll and even parrying in the Souls series then you may take to this game rather quickly; and maybe even easily.

Everything down to the dark atmosphere and the note in a bottle writing you can leave behind for other players feels strongly of the Souls series, while having it's own twists such as an level up tree and transmuting weapons into even better weapons.

Overall I'm very happy with this game and hope that there will be another that comes out in the near future; I would definitely buy it.

I can honestly say that I have no idea why this game gets so much hate; I was even recommended against buying this game, and gods am I glad that I didn't listen to him.

There is SO much more content(especially comparing to DS3 which I beat in one day and this game which took me half a week to beat), no "Frame rate" issue, the OSTs are amazing as always and the small details in character behavior and level aesthetics are nearly perfect. This review may be biast as I have over 400 hours on DS3, and while I do not regret it DS2 makes that game look like sh!t.

Your character shows fatigue or discomfort when you use weapons that you do not have the stats for and even when you run out of stamina or are low on health. With this you can actually feel the weight of your character and the armor he/she wears which helps judge if you can make a jump or not or even if you can avoid an attack. It may seem like small and insignificant things that some people don't even like(for some reason) but these details just make the game so much more immersive and believable while giving a new take on how you understand how your character behaves.

With this even the NPCs are smart! I was laughing for nearly an hour when I found out one specific NPC invader was hiding in wait as a barrel for when the player opens a nearby chest!
The lore may be confusing at first as well- but as is every Souls game. You don't know what the he11 is going on at first but as you play and learn from your surroundings you learn more and more.

Story wise I do not even care if it is not canon to the Soul's lore according to it's creator(Ok I do a little bit just hOW NOT?! IT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE COMPARING TO THE 1ST GAME); but what I really care about is the detail and love that was put into making this game, and again; I will never understand why it gets so much hate that it does, this is by far my most Favorite game in the entire Souls series.

Works perfectly. Super easy to understand and use, you don't even have to go through the steam files to look for an .exe! Just choose a currently running process that you want completely full screened and you're done! It'll even remember your choices so you don't have to constantly re-do it!

Overall an amazing application, if you're finding youself getting irritated when you accidentally click on the desktop while playing a game in windowed mode then you need to get this application; you won't regret it.

Pros:
This game is basically a bullet hell where you focus on both avoiding bullets and stripping pretty waifus of their clothes(there is even a patch for complete nudity-). Unlike the previous game there is a story to this game(albeit a poory written one); there are new powerups and it still contains the "fun" the previous game has.

Cons:
Compared to the first "Deep Space Waifu" this game is sh*tty. It has the same and even some unique glitches that make the game completely unplayable. For the second game in the series you would think the art would be or had gotten better but this isn't true. Armpits don't look like that and ankles don't bend like that. The anatomy itself it awful and the lines are sloppy. It's like they just used their rough drafts without looking over them again and said "f*** it". This itself is very disappointing knowing that people are actually paying for this game and the quality of WHY they bought it is just getting worse.

Overall:
I only had to play this game for 2 hours for all of the achievements(the other four came from idle master) and I kept getting my a** kicked by MILF; but overall I was pretty bored the whole way through. Granted; I am a female and a mother so I probably did not get as much excitement as a 14 year old boy would when they see naked anime girls. If you aren't going to improve your art and keep uploading half a**ed illustrations then please don't make another game in this series.
