People told me this game is a commie game but every commie in this game is a dysfunctional alcoholic.

You're Idris Elba trying to stop Le Corbusier from bulldozing Paris to build his "habitation units."

The Good:
- Gameplay has been sharpened up.
- Nice UI improvements. Breach and clearing literally never gets old. Lots of cool new abilities. New art is very pretty.

The Bad:
- Samey guns and boring enemies.
- You feel more like a spec ops squad then a police unit. Brutality doesn't matter, there are no interrogations, and you can run roughshod over the city. Compare This is the Police, which isn't that good but does a much better job of repping the police side of things.
- What has been recycled is painfully evident, and there is a lot.
- Boring geoscape / city map. Nothing to really do.

Meh:
Characters. VC and art for them is great. Having alien squadmates is cool. Unfortunately they're pretty dull. The game is harder to engage with because unlike Xcom EU or 2 it's not your doods, although if you've played games like Fire Emblem and you're used to this stuff it's infinitely more tolerable.

Overall it's an unsophisticated but competent game. Good ideas, but does not play to Xcom's strengths, while putting a lot of focus on tertiary stuff from the game previous, namely the world and writing. 3/5 and imo too meh to confidently recommend.

A great game that could use some serious tweaking and a bigger player base.

Got this game for free and I still want a refund.

Worst-bad game ever made-made. Totally unrealistic. How does a brood of four puny man-things stand against the might of the Under Empire? Game only good for no-furs.
