You will die... a lot.

But why is this a Positive review you may ask.

Easy, even if you die a lot there are always other Players around that will do the same.
You depend on the others and the others rely on You!

Planetside 2 is no ordinary First Person Shooter, this Game is a FPS with a build in Community behind it.

You will never encouter boring NPCs, you will not always meet Players that are on your Experience Level, you will not always find Fights you can win.

There is no Match Making and this is how it works.

You will need to Communicate, you will need to make Strategies you will encounter other Humans... with your Friends.

Sounds intense! lol I've heard of this game, but I'm not sure if it's my style. Dying a lot isn't really my thing, but the community aspect sounds fun. Maybe I'll

And to the readers of eMYNOCKS review and my whacky comment: While my last words there sound quite negative, the game's really worth a shot. Just remember: Don't get disappointed easily, the good outfits and players literally dedicated hundreds (sometimes even thousands) of hours to certain playstyles until they 'got gud' . There are always great Youtube instructional videos from all sorts of folks ( Cyrious Gaming PlanetSide 2 videos for example) and the VR training in game.
Good things take a while ya know. :D

The game really is "special" , but mostly in a good way. The thing is, due to the plethora of playstyles and the getting used to all of these happening to and around you, you really need time to learn and practice. If one got that down, the game really shines.
Funnily enough the multitude of playstyles in PS2 was/is one of the biggest features but also deterrents (especially for new players) of the game at the same time.
Regarding the corporate side: It's just a shame that Daybreak as the devs (and to some extent SOE beforehand) used the Planetside 2 crowd to finance projects of dubious quality like Planetside Arena (or just straight up F up good ideas/chances like H1Z1) while at the same time not delivering in its actual cashcow: PlanetSide 2 .
