Received a permaban for "unauthorized software" and "manipulation of game data". Appealed on Activisions website and was declined, finalized, and closed within 5 hours. It's impossible to even contact a human within the company - it's all automated. I've been playing CS since 1.6, and have over 4,500 combined game hours on this 17 year old account. Their anti-cheat doesn't work, and the players they "shadow ban" are placed in lobbies with actual cheaters - how does that work? They permanently ban random players, and sync cheaters in cheater lobbies? Makes absolutely no sense, and seems like they want their ban wave numbers to look good since they introduced this new anti-cheat. They don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about the community, and banned players buy new accounts, which after this I will never buy another COD title again. Steam even refunded me the game after 60 hours of play AND after the ban which tells me they even know BS is going on. And for those who will read this and assume I did cheat, just google this, it's happening to thousands of people. I only bought this game for the nostalgia of MW2 2009 maps and the new zombies and now I have a false ban on my one and only Steam account. Just know that you're signing your life away with COD's TOS and they don't need to disclose any information about the ban nor how the AC works. In all honesty it could be scanning your entire PC which is a huge privacy concern. My machine has a total of 10tb of games and storage so who knows what flagged it, if anything at all.
