Early Access Review
Marvel Snap has very short matches (2-3 mins) with easy to learn and hard to master mechanics. So this is great, and short sessions would perfectly suit a mobile game. And it is, in fact, a mobile game.

However, despite having great mechanics, the game is totally ruined by the worst monetization system there has ever been in a CCG. You either need to purchase a battlepass for $10 monthly and complete it, or, if you ever skip a month, spend a lot of money to get the cards you need.

And there's no way to reliably get the card you need unless this card is on sale right now, and cards rotate every day. Otherwise you have to gamble: cards are divided in series, and you can purchase cards of specific series in hopes you get the one you need. In general, the progression is very slow, it took me months to expand my collection enough to build a few competitive decks.

But then, of course, good cards are nerfed, and more powerful new cards are introduced, and it again takes a lot of money and/or grind to get them. Essentially, there are several new cards each month, and lately almost every single one is so strong that everyone wants to get it.

You might think that if it's hard to get specific cards, the meta might be fun because everyone has a different pool of cards? That might be true on lower ranks, but at 80+ people are only playing with meta decks.
