Simplified Tactical Space combat

What this game is:
This game is a very well done, highly polished, turn based, tactical space ship combat game. It's lighter on the options than a lot of current space combat games out there. But it still gives you a good variety of combat options and choices, from upgrades to diplomacy to battle changing wild cards. This is a game you can sit down, play for a little bit, and then walk away from when you've got some time to kill.

What this game ISNT:
This isn't the next evolution in the Civ games. This game ISNT a 4x style strategy game, despite it's tie in with Sid Meier's Civizliation: Beyond Earth. This isn't a highly complicated game with a lot of options. This game isn't a game that allows you a massive variety of space ship upgrades and personalization options.

Biggest drawback:
Lack of multiplayer. This is a single player only game.

My thoughts:
For the entry price, this game is worth it; as long as you know what you're getting when you buy it. A lot of the negative reviews are people who didn't understand that this was a more basic turn based strategy. I've enjoyed my time with it so far and look forwards to playing more. But if you go into it expecting a massive array of options, and deep combat, you're going to be dissapointed. The best analogy I can use is that sometimes you don't want to play Monopoly or Catan, but want to sit down and just play a simple game of solitare. That's what this is, it's a simple, fun, engaging, non complicated single player game. More than that, it's one that's done very well in fact. Just make sure you know that's what you want. Because if you want complicated 4x, epic space battles, or ship customization that takes you days to master, look elsewhere. But if you want a fun, turn based, tactical, I'd reccomend this game.
