Gaslight yourself into believing you've never played a Dragon Age game before, and that you have the conversational skills of a 5 year old. Then, you might enjoy the game.

I lost interest after getting all the companions and doing quite a bit of sidequests. The companions are very boring and unimaginative. I wanted to like Taash so hard, but it's like the writers actively fight against the player.
The only saving graces from the companions are Emmerich and Bellara. Bellara for me in particular because she's like Tali from Mass Effect.

The combat is excellent but the quests are extremely boring and combining it with 2005 facial animations (Even that is an insult to 2005 games, this is just lip-syncing) does not yield any enjoyment for me.
Travelling everywhere on foot would not be so bad if enemy variety was more than 5 + some bosses and your Pawns wouldn't say the same dialogue over and over.
