I have to post this to make a difference. Play Station now requires you to link your steam account to a Play Station Network account so they can show shareholders a spike in PSN activity. The downside is that Sony DOES NOT have a great record with keeping your user data private. Not to mention the fact that they WILL sell your data if it means they make a profit. Forget NProtect, this is an actual real security threat for your Steam account.
