It is far from perfection, yet, while including annoying missing features like no demo replay but, today is the closest game giving the amazing arena experience a Quaker is searching for. I don't care about the lack of support, or the very shrunk playing community, or eternal matchmaking at certain EU clock time.

This is Quake, or better, this is what Quake 3: Arena would be today, without DVD-ROM and more than a million copies sold worldwide. You can even find, revised maps Quake should never miss, like DM6 or DM7. You can even find a "Real Quaker" spam mode, where the only weapons with infinite rounds you get are, the Rocket Launcher, the RainGun and the Shafter (for newer gamers, the Lightning Gun). It's fun as well the "Sacrifice Mode", a sort of KOTH melted with CTF. But, you'll find all the legacy FPS modes, with a revised max number of team players to 4 (Clan Arena and CTF were used to play in 5v5).

Yes, we have Quake Live around, it costs a bunch of runes, and it features what a Quake 3 player needs with "modern" graphics. But it is spam galore fps, and is quite hard to find some 4v4 TDM servers, they are made for massive 32 or more DM "shoot with not aim" players.
