Pure gold, as someone who has never played a 2D Adventure game this game has sold the genre for me. the combat is nice and fluid, you never feel like youve hit rock bottom, theres always more to explore and the game helps you find these new areas, by giving you special abilities the you feel like youve earned and then you can finally explore that area. The characters are amazing and having them follow you in your story and following the stories of them, seeing how they end wether they die or they get through it, the story is purely amazing. Hollow Knight is without a doubt one of the best games ive ever played.
