Recenzja wczesnego dostępu
PLEASE PLEASE LET US HOST PRIVATE SERVERS!!!

Sell to another developer. Do more crowdfunding. Something! So many of us love this game exactly as it is, despite how short it falls of where you wanted it to be. There are so many support systems for situations like this, please at least consider them before just shutting it down completely!

100% agree with this statement. I never got around to playing to much unfortunatly. But if they allowed us to run/host our own servers, i think we could have a great small community of players for it still.

I like the idea of alternative funding, but the game obviously isn't sustainable. If they could add some kind of cosmetic shop or something to make the game self-sustaining that would have been a much better option. It seems to me that they concentrated hard on making a great game and never really made a way to monetize it. SpatialOS servers aren't cheap, not that they're more expensive than other options, but when you need 200 servers to support the full game it adds up.

Indeed, I feel like every game I own has found some way to wedge battle royale into it.

I just personally hope this new game is NOT another damn Battle Royal...

What was said in the statement is probably why they are not trying everything
Seems like they plan on taking whats left of WA and the assets to turn it into a smaller game that will be more financially viable
Full statement
"We are considering what we will do next, once we send Worlds into the sunset in late July. We are sure to update the Island Creator to allow it to export the islands into an open format, and that will include assets.
Afterwards, an idea would be to pick the best parts of the game and take them to the original concept of a 16-32 players survival type game. Removing the massive aspect of it would allow us to work on features to make the game better, rather than just spending time making it work as we were up to now. But we need time to wrap it all up before looking into these possibilities. Goes without saying that if we do it, players get it."

That's what monthly fees and cash shops are for then.

My point is just that I feel like there are avenues of income that they've not tried and simply aren't trying... which leads me to believe there is someone other than them making this decision. If a company REALLY wants to keep a game open, they try everything. I feel like they're just giving up.

No i never asked about crowd funding.
However i would hazard a guess that the cost to run the private servers long term, that can handle SpatialOS, would be practically unachievable through crowdfunding.
They would most likely need a steady and constant flow of income, rather than a short term term boost that crowd funding could offer, in order to be able to keep up the high server maintenance costs.
These are just my own speculations as to why they probably wont accept crowd funding.
