Is it a great game: yes
Should you buy it: not for €60, wait for a discount
Short version:
Official servers are bad, but singleplayer or private servers are good. Also don't play with normal drop rates, play with higher drop rates. In that way it is fun.

Edit: Due to a few things being pointed out in the comments over and over again I will answer the common reactions here:

Q: Your PC is just bad, it's not the game's fault.
A: I have an Acer Predator G6 which can run the game just fine. And unless you have a literal potato as a pc you have the right to complain about bad performance. The game graphically is not that impressive, so any decent pc should be able to at least run it (albeit not on the highest settings). The complaint also isn't really about performance, it's about optimisation. Imagine if minecraft required 2 titans and 32 gb ram. People would complain about it, and if the devs said "Lol not my fault you can't afford a better pc" it would not be a valid excuse. I just think ARK is not optimised that well. But I don't really have much experience in game design, I have only created some small 2d and 3d platformers, so I don't really know that much about it. Maybe there is some technical reason why they can't optimise it better.

Q: You only have 50 hours, you aren't qualified to review the game
A: After 50 hours of playing, this is what I currently think about the game. Maybe once I get to a high level and are able to tame max-level T-Rexes, or build huge castles, my opinion might change. I recently bought all the expension packs, and I will be playing them all, so maybe I will eventually reach the point where it becomes fun, and if that happens I will change my review.

The game is fun on singleplayer or on unofficial servers, but if you buy this game: Do not play on official servers! What happens on:
PVP:
While creating your first wooden base a max level player flies by on their giant flying mount and one-shots you
PVE:
Some max level player has filled the entire world with pillars so building anywhere is impossible
SMALLTRIBES:
Same as PVP. A max level player will one-shot you, destroy your base, and kill all your dinos.

Keep in mind you have to grind for hundreds of hours to get to a high level. Getting enough resources for a small iron base will take dozens of hours, and while building it you will constantly be killed and have all your stuff taken by some max level player on a flying mount. When you leave the game your body stays in the game, it just falls asleep. This means you need to play for hours on end when you first join a server, because if you haven't built your first base when you leave the game you will be killed by dinosaurs. Getting the required technology and resources to build this base takes hours. It doesn't really matter anyway, because the max level tribe will be flying around on their mounts 24/7 to destroy all starter bases, which they can of course do in seconds. Unless you have 5+ hours a day to spend on this game, playing on official pvp or smalltribes servers is simply not worth your time, as some other people will do that.
Also by the way taming 1 high level dino can literally take 3 hours. During those 3 hours you have to stay in the game doing nothing but feeding it berries or narcotics.
Then there are the pve servers. In ark you can not build near something from another tribe. This is to prevent people building staircases so they can climb over walls and raid bases. WHY EVEN HAVE THIS IN PVE??? Anyway what happens is people build pillars all around all spawns. The thing is: Spawns are warm places with a lot of water and resources. They are where the easy starter dinos spawn. They are where you are supposed to start. If you go away from the spawns it becomes too hot/cold, barren, dry etc. If you can't start at the start, prepare to be walking for literally hours while carrying all your dinos and resources you collect in the spawn area to your bases 2 hours away.
Let's talk about the grinding. You literally have to grind for multiple hours just to create the smalles things. To create a tiny wooden base so we could log off without being killed by max level players, me and my friend had to grind for maybe 2 hours. With one person that wouldv'e easily taken 4 hours. And then we got killed by a max level player who stole all our items and reset our progress. When we went to move our dinos to another more hidden place so the max level players wouldn't destroy it, we randomly got attacked by this wild dino who killed us and all of our dinos.

TLDR: PREPARE TO HAVE YOUR TINY BASE YOU SPENT 10 HOURS ON BE COMPLETELY DESTROYED BY SOME MAX LEVEL PLAYER ON FLYING MOUNT. PREPARE TO TAME A DINO BY STANDING NEXT TO IT AND DOING NOTHING FOR 3 CONSECUTIVE HOURS. PREPARE TO WALK 2 HOURS TO GET A RESOURCE NOT FOUND IN YOUR LOCATION.

That is, unless you play singleplayer or on custom servers. When you do this, you can have custom drop rates. I turned up all the drop rates to insane rates like 10x in my singleplayer world, and I had a great time. It actually felt like a balanced game. I never had to really grind, if I wanted to build something or create something I never had to spend insane amounts of resources. Taming dinos took only a few minutes instead of a few hours. I had a great time. The only thing I want to warn you about if you make a singleplayer game is: Be careful with the settings. Almost everything was perfect imo, but I turned the xp rate up a bit too high and constantly found myself with too much engrams to spend. Avoid this.

One of the best games I've ever played.
Fun gameplay, VERY GOOD GRAPHICS, and great characters.
I recommend buying this, but if you're new to gaming or just not very good, this game is VERY HARD,
but it isn't unfair, and because it's so hard every time you kill a boss you have a sense of accomplishment.
It took me around 18 hours to beat, but I'm not very good at it because this is the first megaman-type game I've ever played.
