fantastic. Most fun I've had in an fps or roguelike in quite some time.

As HL1 and HL2 did prior for traditional AAA FPS, HL:Alyx defines and sets the standard on what a VR shooter can and should be. Expect this to be the standard for many years to come.

Somehow manages to feel more archaic than a 20 year old game. Stamina system is terrible, and the combat is slow and unresponsive. Play Risen 1 if you want a 'modern' introduction to Gothic.

Meh. Overrated writing; too juvinile to take seriously. Maybe better suited for the Young Adult crowd?

Played the prototype of this game back in 2008 and loved it then. At the time, I was blasting through 50+ indie games a week.

Saw the name 'flywrench' recently on Steam and immediately recognized it. Needless to say, the original left a very strong impression on me.

Much like the original prototype, this game is difficult in the best of ways. Almost no down time following your mistakes, and you are rarely left with a feeling that the mistake was anyone's fault but your own. Controls are as tight as ever, and the visual facelift is much appreciated. Even the soundtrack adds a lot to the experience.

Not much else to say here; worth every cent.

Briliant. If Zactronics and CactusSoft made a game together, it would probably be something like this.

Excellent game. Nominated for 'Even better than I expected' award. Very much worth your time if you enjoy metroidvanias.

It's a bit overrated, but I'd still highly encourage fans of cyberpunk to pick it up. While you won't find much in terms of interactivity, and the scope is fairly limited, the amount of polish is rather incredible for an indie team to pull off.

AAA cyberpunk games should strive to achieve this level of polish and psychological horror; it's unparalleled thus far. My only hope is that CD Projekt Red's 'Cyberpunk' takes some of the better parts of Observer, and incorporates it into their more full-fledged gaming experience.
