I've been whacking it to the Live Chats for hours rather than solve the mystery of who snagged that Harukussy.

Played this and the rest of the game on Nightmare.

Was a pretty good experience game-play wise compared to the first DLC & main-game. The Escalation Encounters was great edition, with the Sentinel Hammer making me feel like a big strong boy :) . As for the final boss he was less difficult but more tedious than it should of been (literally only used the Rocket Launcher & Shotgun).

No opinion on the lore since I don't care for it other than the badass cutscenes.

The more I listen to interviews with Mick Gordon the more realize the sheer attention and passion he had for making the music as well as the DOOM IP as a whole. So it's just really sad to see his Clients (id Software & Bethesda) wrong him in both payments and direction of the OST in general. This might not effect the final product at face value, but sours the experience the more you learn about what happened behind the scenes.

The game is only great when playing with friends since the online mode is plagued by a cheating epidemic.

A Steam game shouldn't require a third party account to be played. As well as having achievements that require playing a close to dead multi-player mode just to fully complete.

So this how to block DOOM Eternal from the internet (so no sign in):

Open Firewall:
-Rule Type: Select “Program”
-Program: Select “This program path”, and navigate to where Doom Eternal is installed. -For example: “D:\Steam\steamapps\common\DOOMEternal\DOOMEternalx64vk.exe”
-Action: Select “Block Connection”
-Profile: All boxes ticked.
-Name: Choose a name for the rule, I suggest “__DOOM_Eternal_offline“.
-*The underscore will keep the rules at the top of the list, and make it easy to find.

Solid title, stays really faithful to the portal theme. It's also designed really well for completionists (But do note that you need the DLC to get all the achievements).
