At first, I had a lot of trouble getting this game to run without crashing. It turns out that my video card (RTX 3080) had begun to have issues, and newer Unreal Engine 5 games were exposing the problem. I replaced it with an RTX 5070Ti and have had zero crashes or issues since.

Very fun game, I'm playing 100% solo and it's pretty grindy but at least there's lots of quest content.

A chilling microcosm of groupthink and paranoia. Best $4.99 I've ever spent.

A must-play for fans of paranormal mysteries, such as X-Files or FRINGE.

A fantastic successor to Ori and the Blind Forest. Perfectly smooth controls, gorgeous visuals, and wonderful touching story line.

I was wary after seeing so many negative reviews regarding hardware-related problems, but since few people were taking issue with the gameplay itself I decided to go for it during the Steam sale. In short, I was not disappointed. This is a polished, solid game full of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥-insane and awesome scenarios, and a perfect sequel.

I'm sure nothing I write in this review will be ground-breaking, but I am absolutely enthralled by this game. There's a very zen feeling to running around a planet you're the first person to set foot on, cataloging the various critters and plants, and hopefully not dying of radiation, acid, or extreme heat or cold. I love the language learning mechanism, and every time I understand enough of some alien race to make the right choice, it's very rewarding.

I know many people have had issues with the requirements being inadequate to run the game, and that is something that needs to be addressed. I have experienced only one crash personally; a couple times I've had the game slow to a crawl, requiring a restart. These are relatively minor inconveniences for me. I do wish we could alt-tab without it killing the game, since I often find it necessary to look up something about a particular mechanic.

Overall, this is a wonderful game made by a small team, and that shows - it feels hand-crafted and intimate, even while you're exploring the vastness of infinity. The downside is that the support is not to the level you might expect from a $60 title. Patches are definitely necessary, and soon.

I couldn't even get this to run because the DRM is so overprotective. Even disabling all possible firewalls AND my antivirus suite didn't allow me to play. After submitting a ticket to Ubisoft and waiting 4 days with no reply, I got a refund.
