Man this game is a mess but you gotta look at it at a different angle. The world of Cyberpunk has one of the most detailed city I have ever seen in a video game, especially in a open world based on the cyberpunk genre. Hate to say it though, but the rest of the game is a mess and just confusing. It feels like parts of the game are missing.

Where's the character and car customization and why did it feel like we were suppose to be with Jackie longer? Don't get me wrong Jackie has a wonderful personality and even with the little time we had together I still regarded him as V's best friend, but after you meet Jackie and the cutscene plays with you 2 going around hustling and making that money, I couldn't help but wonder "Why am I not doing any of this?". One part of the cutscene it even felt like there was cut from gameplay into cutscene mode.

I really hoped this game would get the updates it required but it sadly seems that won't be the case. It also dawned on me that this game simply wont turn out how I expected it would. If the game goes on sale for 20$ maybe 30$ go ahead and try it out, but I can't recommend this game at 60$

Update: So after 3 years of countless updates, the Phantom Liberty expansion, and a watch through of Edgerunners , I finally sat down and replayed this game and I gotta say it was totally worth it. The release of this game can't go unnoticed but you also gotta recognize the dedication the devs put into this game just to get it to a working state. They got completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ over by higher up and were forced to push it out in that state. There's probably no need to say but it totally paid off.

This has to be one of the best action RPG experiences out right now in the modern era of gaming. From the gameplay to the story this game has everything an open world RPG needs. The gameplay is so intense and high-paced at times its almost like an adrenaline hit when the combat music starts playing and guns/explosions are going off it truly is a great time. Driving through the city with the radio playing is such vibe I would just drive past the quest markers just finish the song that's playing. I loved how the overall theme of the stories throughout Night City is about human connection, the Good and Bad. At times it really got depressing like to the point I started feeling depressed just playing the game but then you get these beautiful moments in the mix and it really shines through the darkness of everything.

Honestly there was flaws to the game like the dialog choices now being the exact words your character is gonna say is extremely annoying. I guess it could spice how the scenes will follow but i'm just not up for it. There was also bugs and other questionable things but I guess we have no choice but to just assume these things come with open world games at this magnitude. Also kinda sucks the whole "roleplaying" in RPG isn't used more like when it comes to your actual build, we do get special dialog options but I would like more "role" options.

I feel like I haven't said everything I wanted to about this game but I can say after 100 sum hours into this recent playthough I can change my review and recommend this game.

From the world building and the gameplay this one of the best open world RPGs out.
