It took me a few hours of playing for this game to settle well into my soul. I was expecting Darkest Dungeon I, and this wasn't it. I regretted my purchase after a half hour and wondered if I should return it for a refund, but I am SO SO GLAD I DID NOT. It's a little different than the first, sure, but it is better in so many ways. It flows better and there is less micro-management. The same twisty darkness riddled with consequence and madness, but less time wasted on things that were irritating in the first game. I miss some of the characters of the original, but the ones that made it into the second and a few new ones are amazing and very fun to play.

Give it a chance and you won't regret it.
