This game is complicated and I work on distributed systems for a living

Really neat game, plays out sort of like a Civ combined with a roguelike "you gotta build around what you get" vibe. I'm not entirely sure about the pacing, the games feel long and sometimes it can get into tedium

Has its charm, lovely character creator, a lot of nice quality of life things which make it feel unique. Lots of potential - characters are pretty okay.

I can't recommend it right yet because it just doesn't feel tuned well yet. It steals heavily and loudly from stardew and animal crossing, but it sort of doesn't seem to have its own voice yet. The art is charming, but the overall story and gameplay loop feel so... *busy*.

Major nits:
* Its very difficult to know whats safe to sell. Given the game advances primarily when you do quests, and the quest is almost always "give x item to y person", the only thing you can sell is cash crops, but thats a problem because:
* Sprinklers are deep in the midgame - like 40 hours in. They give you this MASSIVE farm, but you have to manually water everything every day. Another thing about the farm is
* You will never have a clean farm - the junk on it will respawn rapidly and there's nothing you can do to stop it. If you spend a week in game clearing your farm, you need to spend half of every day after that clearing it.
* Something about the social stuff feels very cookie cutter. I'm not really engaged very much by the dialogue, and there's a lot of it.

It'll be nice to see whether the game gets a bit streamlined in the future - right now its... well, its pretty busy, running around trying to do everything.

Fun: deep mechanics, spell system, breathtaking art, combat system

Not fun: opaque mechanics (D&D 2 is insane), barebones story to combat ratio, begs for save-scumming

Infinity engine ain't for the weak. To actually have fun I recommend:

Use cheats to deck out your characters. Its so frustrating missing for days in the early game and having to rest to heal.

Give every character boots of haste. The walk speed is atrocious for how much backtracking you have to do.

Use cheats to heal and TP to remove the dead time.

If you've never played an Infinity Engine games, I'd recommend starting with Baldur's Gate 2, get used to the mechanics, then play BG1, then this game. BG1 and 2 have an awesome story and a lot more polish on them, this one is fun to minmax the hell out of it and just mow through everything

Fun an d enjoyable especially if you like balatro. Enjoyed the theming! Feels a little bit small right now in terms of how many decks there are, you very quickly learn all the possible cards.

A nostalgia game for me, I recommend playing with invul on because its properly wicked hard at times and with a proper joystick. The CD version has the best music.

Pretty fun game, neat aesthetic. Dynamic strategies but there's a lot of options and a few are really busted while others can really be frustrating

Not even in Alpha yet, most mechanics don't exist, you kinda have to micromanage where everyone lives, there's no tooltips and few shortcuts. What does a Mule even do? The game won't tell you. This is Early Early Early access and not worth paying for if you expect an actual game at the moment.

Worth the money. Look up guides for ME2 suicide mission and do the citadel DLC right before the point of no return in ME3

Campaign got boring and tedious quickly. If you used to love AoE2 but were once bored of it, you'll probably be bored of this too.

Really liked the cinematics. Gameplay feels dated.
