As a CERTIFIED PSYCHO whose only completed Zelda games to this date are the CD-i duo, I feel like I kinda have a finer appreciation for what Arzette does. As someone who really unironically likes the Zelda CD-i gameplay and its world, I'm glad to say that this game does almost everything good that the games it is paying homage to do but even better.

In general, the gamefeel is much better, movement is less tight, jumps are less strict, it's a vast improvement.

The cutscenes are lovingly produced and voice acted perfectly. My only complaint is some of the characters later on lack cutscenes and just use un-voice acted dialogue boxes, although this IS understandable.

The progression is MUCH better than the original. Almost all the items and upgrades you receive serve a purpose and it is a delight to feel your power slowly increasing.

My only complaints is that the background art of the levels lacks the exact hand painted quality that the originals had, and that is something I miss. Only a few levels live up to the vibes of the originals. The music also, I wish every sub area of the levels had a slightly different track like is the case with the originals, again though, I understand this limitation.

Needless to say I want to say thank you to the man behind this all for his passion relating to these two awkward pieces of gaming history and the culture surrounding them. I loved this game.

Here's hoping for a sequel! Starring the Link lookalike and hopefully with some I.M. Meen references :))

all you had to do was port fallout 4 to space and i would have guiltily drank that SLOP up but you somehow made your ♥♥♥♥ formula even more ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boring. theres just so LITTLE in this game...

this game kicked so much ass bwl.. so amazing to see how far zane has come since the hypnospace days, he ended up as a better dev than the stupid merchant brothers... slayers X for life..

It's still a really good game, even though I was literally like.. 5 when the game is set, it really does feel like a nostalgia trip through a bygone era. And even though it was completely different, I felt a connection to the themes of moving on and growing up.

Although I got a sad ending, I really did enjoy this game. Thank you, Kyle. Your game made me feel things deep down, and not much media does.
