After playing thousands of games both singleplayer and multiplayer, unlocking all achievements and getting every solo map medal, I think it's time for a review:

If you like tower defence games: I recommend.
If you like any previous Bloons games: I recommend.
If you want something casual and chill: I recommend.
If you want a bit of a challenge: I recommend.

The tower type variety is interesting and diverse, with 5 tiers of upgrades each (plus special "paragon" towers)
The game devs have been providing free updates for years.
There's lots of achievements and medals to get.
There's online co-op, boss events and even different game-modes.

The game is more expensive than it used to be, but literally any sale price makes it worth a buy!

there are barely any microtransactions everything but loser and weenie mode, "double cash mode" can be unlocked normally

@shbouwhuis It has in-app purchases, it brings everything the game has to offer, what you buy is currency to not grind as much, or some power ups or passes to events. But the main gameplay stuff and towers and heros are all there (you gotta grind first though, like any videogame)

This game is now on sale, so I wanted to buy it.
But, are you saying there are in-game purchases like mobile games?!?
In other words, when I buy the game, it's not the 'complete' version? (I didn't see any DLC for TD6 either)?

@Rogue Nerf Herder String disagree - I don't see it that way. Tower defence games aren't designed to be played and beaten first time. Learn strategies, experiment with different tower combinations, trial-and-error.
With very few exceptions, every map and difficulty is realistically beatable by any player who's put in some time and obtained some game mechanic knowledge (and some monkey knowledge too!)

MAYBE it's worth the store price. but it's not worth it to deal with the constant difficulty spikes that come up PURELY to make you fail and spend in game points to continue.

the game is a cash grab.
