Early Access Review
TL;DR: Don't buy or play
I started playing this game during the beta, and so far, since then the game has gotten better and worse at the same time. Back then all you had to worry about was rubberbanding in a firefight, but now you have to worry about even getting into a match on a gamemode you like, with real people playing rather than bots, or not having your data harvested without even being alerted to it (illegally I might add).

In terms of gameplay, the main gameplay loop of fast paced Q3 Arena style gameplay is enjoyable at best, and just plain annoying at worst. The in game champions consistently mess up the balance of the game with high damage dealing abilites, like a rocketing portal projectile that instantly kills you no matter how much health you have if it's landed and timed right, or acid spit that renders some routes of a map completely inaccessible without taking large amounts of damage over time, or a shield that renders an opponent almost entirely invulnerable in a duel.
In addition, all weapons are almost completely equal in ability to get kills, and every weapon pickup spawns a second after being picked up, streamlining the skill gap and making map control essentially obsolete.
Aside from gameplay, there is also a big problem with the game's update cycle, where the game only receives updates every one and a half months, and almost never gets hotfixes. Every other update also introduces a new issue to the game, at least one, whether it be poorer performance, a multitude of bugs, limiting your ability to choose matches you want to play, or just simply ruining the balance of the game further

I used to defend and try to champion (no pun intended) this game to other people, but now every person I ward away from it, I consider better off because of me.
If you want a good classic arena shooter, I'd recommend Quake 3 or quake live. If you want a good well balanced(Or at least better balanced than this) class based shooter, I'd recommend dl'ing tf2 and giving it a spin, or even playing overwatch if you really want to. If you want a good free to play game, again, tf2 is still relatively good, as is Dota2, and the new unreal tournament that is currently in development.
If you want a good skill based arena shooter, check out the indev unreal, and please consider picking up reflex arena off steam, because God know's that game needs more love than it gets.
