I cannot wait for the full game. Checked this out after the Seattle Indie event and happily burned through the whole demo.

Stardew valley with terror! (And cute animals)

Beautiful voxel city with amazing vibes. The rain andneon-soaked art style and electronic soundtrack work perfectly together - even my partner, got drawn in by how it looks and liked when it was on in the background. Key thing, he didn't pay attention to much.

The actual driving isn't anything special, but cruising around the rainy cyberpunk city is so chill that I kept playing just for the atmosphere. Honestly skipped through most of the dialogue since the voice acting is pretty stiff and the characters range from boring to annoying.

Still, it's one of the few games I've actually finished lately, just because it's such a pleasant world to spend time in. There's a life sim coming out in the same setting - might check that out since the city itself is the best part anyway.

Worth playing if you just want to vibe in a gorgeous cyberpunk world and don't care too much about the story.

As a fan of Void Bastards, I approached Wild Bastards with high expectations, and the game largely delivers while staying true to its predecessor's formula. The game maintains solid momentum throughout its campaign, offering a decently engaging experience.

The roster of playable characters brings welcome variety and personality to the experience, each offering their own entertaining twist on the gameplay. The game's core mechanics feel refined and thoroughly playable, making for a smooth and enjoyable experience that will feel immediately familiar to Void Bastards veterans.

The notably short length of the campaign also leaves you wanting more just as you're really getting into the groove.

I've played about 25 hours on Gamepass and liked it well enough to buy it and try to finish it.

I think this game was made partially for folks nostalgic for Chronotrigger. I never played it so, I was immune to that. Still its very charming and makes a great dive in for a bit and play for 20 mins kind of game. You have to fight through some tedium at the start but its worth it.

About half of the games within UFO 50 would be worth buying and reviewing. There is something for everyone. It can be a little alienating at first but once one of the games gets its hooks into you cant stop playing. Then you learn there is a game within the game and a game withing the game withing the game.

Nine Sols emerges as a masterclass in precision fighting and storytelling, even if its soundtrack occasionally misses the mark. At its core, this is an uncompromisingly difficult game that demands perfection from its players, but the challenge feels justified rather than punitive, woven seamlessly into both its narrative and mechanical design.

The visual artistry on display is nothing short of breathtaking. The game's world is rendered in a stunning blend of traditional Chinese art and science fiction elements, creating environments that feel both ancient and futuristic. Every frame could be a painting, from the cherry blossoms floating through dilapidated cyber-temples to the neon-lit underground cities that pulse with an otherworldly energy.

Where the game truly shines is in its movement system. The protagonist's abilities feel precisely tuned, offering a level of control that borders on sublime. Every dash, jump, and parry feels responsive and purposeful, creating a sense of fluidity that makes even the most challenging sequences feel achievable with practice. This technical excellence in movement design elevates the entire experience, making every successful navigation of a difficult section deeply satisfying.

The character ensemble stands as one of the game's greatest achievements. Each personality you encounter feels fully realized, carrying their own weights, motivations, and complex histories. The interactions between characters reveal layers of nuance that you rarely see in gaming, creating relationships that feel authentic and earned rather than merely serving the plot.

Speaking of plot, Nine Sols delivers a narrative that surpasses the storytelling standards typically found in the medium. It weaves together themes of identity, legacy, and sacrifice into a tapestry that rewards close attention and multiple playthroughs. The world-building is particularly impressive, creating a rich mythology that feels both alien and deeply human.

The one notable weakness in this otherwise stellar package is the soundtrack. While serviceable, the music fails to reach the heights achieved by the game's other elements. In a game where every visual and mechanical element feels carefully crafted to perfection, the score comes across as merely adequate, missing opportunities to enhance the emotional impact of key moments.

Despite this minor shortcoming, Nine Sols stands as a remarkable achievement in game design. It proves that extreme difficulty can coexist with engaging storytelling, and that precise mechanical execution need not come at the expense of artistic vision. For players willing to embrace its challenges, Nine Sols offers a richly rewarding experience that pushes the boundaries of what games can achieve.

The main reason to play this is for the vibes. Great ambience. Good way to pass time and maybe be a little spooked without getting jumpscared (too much).

Clever game play, good quick play sessions well balanced and great music. Try the demo. If you like rogue like deck builders just buy it.
