It is a well structured game, with plenty of content. It is a different game than the two before, so if you came expecting the exact same vibe as 2033 or Last Light, you will be kinda disappointed. But still, its worth a shot.


The game starts making you think its gonna be similar to the previous titles, but as soon as you leave the metro, you realize it will be a completely different experience.

The enemies are balanced, being tough in their own way, so the game doesn't become a Halo 2 on legendary when you try to play it on higher difficulties. The weapons are good, and the customization is amazing, although i didn't had much incentive to use anything other than the AK/Bullpup or the shotgun.

The different maps (in each chapter) are amazing, well thought and with great artstyles. My only complaint is the lack of any "events" happening in the open world, so you have to do close to nothing and just walk for miles to get your car back (in the desert), or to reach the actual objective. Okay, you do have some mutants laying around here and there, but as soon as you attack a single one of them, a lot more come rushing your position trying to kill you, making you waste ammo or medpacks, so you end up walking even more just to avoid them, especially at higher difficulties.

The desert (or The Caspian chapter) was probably my least favorite chapter, because you had two choices: go with your car to every location so you dont walk, or walk miles without it. The first choice removes your stealth options, since the car makes a ton of noise, so every enemy, especially humans, see you from really far away. The second choice, well, its kinda boring to walk, and walk, and walk, and walk, casually now and then fighting random mutants or humans.

The plot is well thought, although predictable. spoiler -> As soon as Anna starts coughing, i already knew which direction the game would take, so when she finally revealed that she was all messed up inside, i released a big i knew it ¬¬ out loud here. Still, the game gives you a lot of interesting side quests, recordings and notes that give more depth to the story.

The gameplay is great, but with some flaws. For some reason, i didn't had much luck with the stealth mechanics, and it wasn't just me according to some researches in forums. Sometimes enemies could see me through really tall objects, like stacked boxes or fridges; sometimes the small light indicator on your wrist just woudn't turn off, even in complete darkness, making enemies see me instantly; that stupid sound effect the game makes when you get detected scared the crap out of me in moments of focus, sometimes glitching, playing even when the combat was already over and everyone was either knocked out or dead. Besides the stealth, there's just two other concerns that comes up in my mind. The blind apes, in the final chapter, just kept glitching through walls and objects, sniffing me from miles away, and artyom, for some reason, just wasn't able to walk over small hills or stairs, he kept slipping down when i stopped walking, making climbing stuff really annoying sometimes.

About the two possible endings. spoiler, but not so much -> i was just frustrated that, even knowing i did every single side quest, only knocked out the enemies, went stealthly in all possible missions (and this was hard), because of Saul, Damir had to stay in the desert, making all my chances of having the good ending go to oblivion. Since the stealth is kinda messed up, and to achieve the good ending you have to be absolutely stealthy, my desire to play the whoooole game again just to save one dude kinda disappeared lmao

> Well, if you don't mind doing everything again just to save one dude, or do this and that stealthly, just to get the other ending, just go for it. The amount of different ways this game can be played is massive, since you have tons of different approaches, weapons, side quests and stuff.
