Pre-sequel... Or call it "post-original" or "far before the third part". Whatever... it's still fun!

Positive review with a list of negative features (aka things that you'll hate in any Borderlands game).

1. Tons of missions like "go there, collect 5-10 crappy things and go back".

2. (Side)-Missions of the above mentioned type mean you have to go through the same location, that you've already passed during the main story campaing. And yeah - the marker point is going to be situated directly the longest way possible: without available vehilce pathway and nearest fast travels spots.

3. This is a pain in the a** for completionists, that prefer single player campaign, 'cause to achieve platinum you'll have to play coop and beat the game at least twice. Just because the devs decided to add enormously high-leveled bosses, that are impossible to win without grinding the desired level.

I'm not sure, that lots of people will be happy to spend over a hundred hours after finishing the main storyline with all the DLCs and start it all over again for a 100% completion.

But if you're a true fan of the whole franchise or just not inclined to be bored by all of the mentioned above - you'll have a lot of fun 'til the very end of the whole game.

This game has the most evident value: it introduces the players to the slavic folklore - at least to the most canonical its characters. Some can say it has primitive and boring gameplay, but the game is not about mechanics, it's about atmosphere of traditional folk tales.

"Remedy" has its own unique style of narration, and in this game the studio has made a step forward, having created an energetic and dynamic gameplay with lots of protagonist's abilities.
I wish that the devs could release a sequel for this game in the nearest future and continue digging deeper into making a "Remedy" multiverse.

I tried this game almost 10 years since it's been released, and basically there's one big advantage and one big flaw.
The good : involving story and the narration.
The bad : optimization. Due to the gameplay and the mechanics peculiarities you have to go through the blurred and kinda epileptic visuals. And almost all the time I had fps drops and stutters even on low graphics settings.
But still it's a good project for sci-fi games lovers.

This is definitely a good sci-fi game, which seems to be made with love and care. Dense cyberpunk atmosphere is clearly felt while exploring the world, and it's all good, but... Yeah, unfortunately there's a "but", hiding in gameplay roughnesses and several minor details, which make the whole impression contradictory:

1. The game strongly pushes you to choose stealth walkthrough, 'cause you'll die from a couple of punches in an open fight 'til the very last mission (it's ok, if you're dexterous and patient;).
2. Why not add fast stealthy movement in skills tree then?
3. Why the protagonist can't attach to the whole ledge surface, but only to the "highlighted" elements? It matters, when we have a "sneaky-peeky" based game.
4. Identical skills in different upgrade branches, which cost different amount of points? Seriously?
5. It's a nightmare for perfectionists and trophy hunters, cause there's several unnecessary and somehow even unexplained collectibles, which can't be found at first walkthrough - and those collectibles are strongly connected to the skill tree upgrades, which you need to complete the 100% walkthrough.

However, this is all just my dissatisfied subjective grumbling, and overall the game is worthy of your attention!
