I have a few weird (retro) controllers, so I'll try them out for you and let you know if any don't work out. You're welcome to borrow them to troubleshoot them if necessary.

Not sure how Steam comments work but in reply to the message you left on my profile. We're essentially support every controller listed here right now. https://github.com/gabomdq/SDL_GameControllerDB/blob/master/gamecontrollerdb.txt

Over the next few days I need to look into pulling a list of controllers down from Steam Big Picture. In short though if you have a controller then chances are it'll work.
