Despite just being the first chapter, this game manages to portray a rich in-game universe with elements of games like FNAF and Portal. There are some small bugs to fix and performance optimizations that can be done, but playing this game shows. I'm sure the future chapters will flesh out more of the game's mechanics, but just playing Chapter 1 you can see the vision they are going for. I'm super excited for what's next, wish I didn't miss out on the Kickstarter campaign! Chapter 1 is free, definitely play it.

No one asked for VRChat to add EAC but here we are.

Update:

So, a lot has happened in between when I originally wrote this review and now. VRChat should be commended for their efforts to finally focus on accessibility and quality of life in response to the controversy. But the original premise of my review remains: Implementing EAC was not something the community wanted and they have not backtracked on it. While I've never used mods and I'm not as experienced of a VRChat user as those most affected by the change, I must still sympathise with them.

Though in all fairness, I would have changed my review to a positive one anyway if it weren't for EAC breaking multiple times requiring full system reboots to resolve. I've played other games with EAC and genuinely never had any problems with it until updating VRChat to the version including EAC. So what in my original review was me standing up for the grievances of others regarding the game is now my own problems and frustrations.

I'm also not convinced that adding EAC actually had an impact on making the game any better, but it's still causing pain points for people that last to this day. So at this time, I'm not going to change my review to positive. I might do so at some point in the future if I never have EAC issues again.
