This game will delete several hundred hours from your life, while hardly feeling repetitive. This is a great game that is vastly improved by the expansions and the fantastic modding community. Civ5 is quite regularly discounted to 75% off so if you're on the fence about whether to buy this game or not, just wait a month or two. You will not regret buying this game.
