Strider 2014 is a reboot (revival) of the classic cyberpunk ninja game from the SNES and PSX era. This time, the came comes back in the metroidvania formula , and the execution has been pretty good.
I hope we get a sequel one day (maybe when Capcom quits its obsession with RE)

This game isn't particularly a souls-like per say, It feels more like a mesh between Bloodborne and Darksiders 2, which gives it a unique identity.
Game's length is also good as well, a solid 13~15h worth of content .

A polished modern FPS shooter with Retro art-direction and dark atmosphere.The game is considered by many as the true spiritual successor of Blood .
The game features a dark paranormal inter-galactic Doom-like plot, extremely good A.I that's capable of precises shooting, ,great modern gun controls ,atmospherics music that's surprisingly so good, and a great level-design that reminds you of all the good FPS games your dad used to buy for you (Yes,your dad will like the game as well).
And above all, it was made by a single dude called Jason Smith.
10/10 ,PLAY IT RIGHT NOW.

A very unique take on John Wick license .Instead of having the usual action-movie based third person shooter max-payne clone game , Bithell Games (the dev) takes a different approach with the time-based tactics design, allowing you to take a role in the decision making process inside John Wick's mind.

AND IT SURPRISINGLY WORKS VERY WELL . You will be fighting hordes of enemies with limited resources, you have to rely on blind spots and advantageous melee tactics to advance through enemies.
Bear in mind that this isn't a turn-based game as some might think ,you can imagine as a hotline miami game with mandatory pauses to allow you to take the right decision during gameplay.
It is also worth mentioning that the game features an original non-cannon story ,with a writing tone similar to the movies ,it also features support characters from the movies (with their original VA).
For that, I highly recommend this game ,especially for John Wick fans ,though bear in mind that the game is quite short (6h on average).

Pretty good metroidvenia that features classic controls, charming theme songs and a BARBARIAN .Although short (6h long maximum) ,it does execute everything decently making it somehow unique.
