This is and will continue to be my favorite game.
Whether it be the scaling difficulties that make it fun for new and veteran players alike or the scenarios that put you in the mix of historic circumstances to either carry out history or wildly change it. It's always fun to mess with history and laugh at the wild changes you make in every new game. The combat system is very nice, simple at its heart but still able to use strategy in how you go to war. The graphics also give it a very serious feel while looking great. Sadly the game isn't too great without the DLC because they just add so much refinement and some new systems. The ultimate aspect that has kept me coming back for years is how replayable it is. I find myself just starting up full random games on high difficulty just to challenge myself and keep improving and it is very fun for me. Highly recommended for any turn based strategy fans as long as you can tolerate the long games lol
